My 14 year old pieced and quilted this awesome Hello Alice panel from @wattsalot for her drama teacher.
My kid is a theater tech in the school musical. This yearās musical was Alice by Heart. When she saw that we had the Hello Alice panels at work she asked me to pick one up for her.
I helped her figure out how to add to it to make it a nice throw size. We also added a blank panel for the cast to sign. My kid chose all the colors and executed it all with minimal help from me.
Once it was pieced we went to a local long arm rental and she quilted it.
Not only am I proud of all the hard work she put into this, but the thought and care she showed towards her teacher and mentor.

This homemade Irish cream cold foam is amazing over cold brew. Gonna whip some up for my Lover and kids tomorrow. šāāļø
Homemade cold foam:
1 Tbsp simple syrup of choice
2 Tbsp milk
3 Tbsp heavy cream
Whisk until doubled in volume and pour over iced coffee or cold brew.
I move to a new space, while a Trans person flees theirs.
I notice the sun shine through a sun-catcher while someone in an ice facility sits under florescent lights.
I buy art from my favorite artist while AI takes the job of another person.
I cry over the heaviness of it all.
I wipe my tears and do the next right thing.

Over that last 4 years I have spent countless hours creating in this space. Even though I am moving to a bigger studio space I donāt take for granted that I have one at all.
This video is a very tame version of the chaos that usually occurs during the creative process. Iām looking forward to figuring out a new rhythm to the future chaos.
This isnāt the first time Iāve painted subfloors in my home. But it is the first time I have done a design on them. Itās feeling a little like a retro diner but I think I dig it.
