OUTPOST Studios

End of an era! We’re sad to announce that @outpost.studios will be closing on 28 February 2025. Since 2010, OUTPOST Studios have provided affordable working space for hundreds of artists, fostering creativity and collaboration; alongside supporting OUTPOST’s arts programming and Gallery space as part of our charity’s social enterprise model. We are grateful for the time we have spent at Gildengate House – home to 90+ creatives at any one time, hundreds of artists have benefited from studio space over the past 15 years. Situated on a site destined for regeneration, our tenure has lasted far longer than we ever expected – however @NorwichCityCouncil 's recent acquisition means the demolition of @AngliaSq will commence this year. Some of our resident artists have found new spaces, but others are still looking. If you have vacant studios/spaces please let us know via [email protected] We’re also seeking storage space for both OUTPOST and individual artists. Meanwhile, @OUTPOST.Gallery has an exciting new programme planned for the year ahead, starting with @AlexandCostello "It's Not About The Thing, It's About All Of It" opening on 15 February. Moving forward, OUTPOST is always open to creative opportunities and collaborative ventures – be they physical spaces, shared ideas, or creative events – let’s talk!

The exhibition by @simonrnewby and @ed.halsey ‘The Voice from the Well’ is on until 22nd February. The show is open 10-4pm, Tuesday to Saturday at @thecutartscentre in Halesworth, Suffolk. Here are some installations photographs kindly taken by @glennyjamieson @jevanwatkinsjones has written a text for the exhibition and will be chairing a talk in the gallery with Simon and Ed on Saturday 15th February at 12pm. ‘The Voice from the Well’ - an exhibition of new work by @ed.halsey and @simonrnewby opens this Saturday 18th, 12-2pm at The Cut in Halesworth, Suffolk. The exhibition runs from 14th January until 22nd February and is open Tuesday to Saturday 10am till 4pm. An Artist Talk will take place on 15th February in the gallery at 12pm. The event will be chaired by Jevan Watkins Jones, who has also written a text to accompany the show. @thecutartscentre is an art centre based in Halesworth, Suffolk, curating a program of arts, music, theatre, dance, comedy, cinema, workshops and contemporary art exhibitions. @adamk652 Drawing Residency in @outpost.studios Project Space Adam King's drawings aim to explore themes of masculine identity, subverting male reference and the male gaze. Executed using charcoal and ink, the resulting sinuous and brittle contours invest his sometimes edge of surreal imagery with robust and vulnerable qualities, as well as humour and pathos.
