Starting fast from the front and holding his rhythm deep into the race, Guidu showed the strength, focus and resilience of Chinese trail running on one of the sport’s biggest stages.

Outopia elite athlete @qiongluoluoluo finished 2nd in the women’s 22K at Ultra Trail Australia byUTMB with a blazing 02:04:23. Starting in 4th, she kept pushing all the way to the podium.

At Outopia, we use premium New Zealand merino wool and work closely through the supply chain to develop our own high-performance blended fabrics — built for trail running, trekking and long days outside.
Over the years, places like Flock Hill Station in New Zealand’s Craigieburn Basin have become more than just part of our material story. The wool grown there is now worn by local trekkers, runners, farm owners and communities around the same land it came from.

@feel_the_burn_trail_run began as a response to something devastating. In December 2024, fire swept through the Craigieburn Basin, damaging huge areas of native landscape and farmland on Flock Hill Station. In the months that followed, the local community came together to support long-term restoration efforts. Then came the race, a new trail running event that guided runners directly through the landscape impacted by the fire.
We’ve spent time on Flock Hill over the last few years through our partnership with @zqcertifiedwool , getting to know Richard, Anna and the wider community connected to the land. So when the race organisers asked if we’d like to support the event, saying yes felt easy. A reminder that running communities often show up strongest when the places they care about need it most. 🤍

We visited Hurstlea Station this summer. Not to sign contracts or optimize our supply chain. But to connect, enjoy each others company, and run. 🏃🏽♀️
Partnering with @soletosoulhikingnz and @zqcertifiedwool , we brought together a group of local runners to host a mindful running experience, connecting deeply with the source of the fibre. The run celebrated the full circle of care - the land, the growers, the animals, the makers, and our community of runners all over the world. 🌏

Hurstlea Station, tucked away in a quiet corner of New Zealand, is one of the farms where our wool comes from. Aaron, Anna, and their two kids run nearly 6,000 merino sheep in a tough high-country climate, continuing a legacy of land stewardship thats been running for three generations. ⛰️🐑
