Just like in his dream, Louis and friends gathered around a cozy fire to toast marshmallows and share stories of their adventures! They had so many of them this October!!

: Inktober 2023/28 - Sparkle :
Louis and Key Largo Mouse are happily chasing fireflies! Florida is home to over 50 species of fireflies – more than anywhere else in the United States! And the most famous location to see fireflies (they even give tours) is Blue Spring State Park outside of Orlando. Loss of habitat and light pollution makes these bioluminescent beetles more elusive in urban areas, but you can still see them in rural areas in all of their glory in March and April!

: Inktober 2023/25 - Dangerous :
Louis is not being a model citizen here because even small alligators can be dangerous. While alligators are rarely aggressive and will rarely attack unprovoked, they are opportunistic feeders, so your feet in murky water may look like just another possible snack.
If you are in Florida, even if you don’t see a sign posted, you should always assume that any body of fresh water may have an alligator in it! “Don’t feed wildlife” gets a whole new meaning!!!

Louis is often found in people pools in Florida, but it’s usually a bother if he is discovered - police is called, people snap photos like crazed paparazzi, then there is duct tape thing. He decided to get an inflatable little pool. It maybe shallow, but it is his own!!

Louis is always happy to point out his favorite constellation, Lacerta (the Lizard).
Why the lizard is his favorite, Key Largo Mouse wants to know? Because the name “alligator” is probably derives from an alteration of Spanish “el lagarto”, which early settlers from Spain in Florida called the alligator.
There you have it - lizard - alligator - constellation Lacerta - celestial alligator!
