And last but not least, we are excited to introduce the third artist to join our film talk this Saturday – 9 May – as part of @corkfringe Karla Goodman @madetomeasurefilms OOF Round 33: The Bridge between Film & Theatre Sat 9 May – 12pm at CTC Studio - @corktheatre Karla is an award-winning television director and producer, as well as a theatre director, actress, and writer. She has worked with a range of leading and dynamic companies in London and Ireland, including Channel 4, BBC Radio 4, Picturehouse TV, Ricochet, Endemol Shine London, and Ardmore Studios in Dublin. Her theatre credits span renowned venues such as, Leeds Playhouse, Chichester Festival Theatre, Londons’s Soho Theatre, Andrews Lane Theatre in Dublin, and most recently Cork Arts Theatre. Classically trained as an actress, Karla has had the pleasure of working alongside celebrated performers including Miriam Margolyes, Minnie Driver, and Graham Norton, among many others. She is the founder of Made to Measure Films, a Kinsale-based production company, and co-founder of The Hive – Screen Cork Writers’ Room, supporting emerging screenwriting talent. Karla is currently performing in Captain Wagtail, by Éidín Griffin, where she plays Clemence McMurrough, a prudish and rule-bound academic whose life is upended by a comic encounter with a woman 300 years her senior, the infamous Anne Bonny. As she puts it herself, with her children now nearly raised, she’s “back in the ring” bringing her experience across theatre and film to new work and collaborations. . . . . . . #filmincork #screencork #corkfilm

We are excited to introduce the second artist to feature in our film talk this Saturday – 9 May – as part of @corkfringe Sinéad O’Loughlin - @nedloughlinfilm OOF Round 33: The Bridge between Film & Theatre Sat 9 May – 12pm at CTC Studio - @corktheatre Sinéad is an Irish writer-director working in film. She began her career in theatre before moving into filmmaking, with her first short Homecoming adapted from one of her plays. Her short film Lamb premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival and went on to win multiple awards, including Best Short Film at Dublin International Film Festival and the Audience Award at Cork International Film Festival. An IFTA nominee and Vimeo Staff Pick, her work has screened internationally. We are excited to announce the first artist to join our panel this Saturday – 9 May – as part of @corkfringe Arann Blake - @arann.blake OOF Round 33: The Bridge between Film & Theatre Sat 9 May – 12pm at CTC Studio - @corktheatre Arann is a writer/director based in Cork City. Originally coming from a background of writing and producing independent theatre, Arann went on to receive an MA in Screenwriting from the University of Arts London. In 2025, Arann formed the Film Collective, Ramallae Dubh, alongside Abreain Blake, Andy Killian and Zoe Greenway. The group’s first short film, Welfare, written and directed by Arann, premiered at the Galway Film Fleadh in 2025. The group have just wrapped on their second project which will be released later this year. Along with Abreain and Andy, Arann is a member of Cork band, Pretty Happy. With the support of the Cork City Council, the group are also currently producing Leeside Creatures. Directed by the members of Pretty Happy and with Zoe Greenway serving as DOP, the feature length documentary is a journey through Cork’s Rebellious Post Punk lineage. Arann is was a finalist in the Ardan and RTE Short Film Commission 2026, with the short film project Tír. He is developing the project alongside Abreain Blake and producer Ali Doyle. Arann’s TV project Starless, a show set in Cork City, is currently being developed into an Irish and International comedy series. She is also the recipient of the Stellar Magazine Shine Award for Comedian of the Year. Alongside her screen work, Hilary is the host of the Live Wild podcast, where she engages in thought-provoking conversations with creatives, thinkers, and change-makers. A passionate advocate for wellbeing and creative expression, she has spent nearly a decade lecturing at the Cork School of Music (MTU), integrating somatic practices into performance training. We are excited to introduce our next guest and host of Round 32 of our Out of Frame film talk next Sunday: Niamh Cremin @niamhccremin Sun 26 Apr – 6pm - @theroundy – Ticket link in bio Niamh is an actor from Cork. She will graduate with a BA in Theatre and Drama Studies from the Cork School of Music this year and spent an Erasmus year studying at the Authorial Acting Department of DAMU in Prague. She played the role of Charlotte in the latest season of The Young Offenders. She played the role of Bernie Breen in the 2024 boxing film Swing Bout, directed by Maurice O’Carroll, and she played the role of Mags, a Dublin punk, in the 2025 Screen Ireland feature film Spilt Milk, directed by Brian Durnin. He is best known for his role as Sergeant Tony Healy in the The Young Offenders film and spin-off TV series for BBC/RTÉ. Previous theatre credits include A Great Arrangement (Gaiety Theatre), The Improv Panto (Cork Opera House), The Good Doctor (Cork Arts Theatre), Debris (Bell Table), The Owl And The Pussycat (Cork Arts Theatre), The Improvised Murder Mystery (Cork Arts Theatre), Little Red Riding Hood (Everyman Theatre), Juno and the Paycock (Everyman Theatre), Where in the World is Frank Sparrow? (Graffiti), The Strange Undoing of Prudencia Hart (Everyman Theatre), Enter Juliet (Everyman), and A Sacrifice at Easter (Corcadorca), and The Irish Canon (Half Moon).   He is a founding member of the CCCahoots comedy group and has worked extensively with them on projects including (R)onanism (RTÉ), Comedy Bites (RTÉ), Sketch (RTÉ), and The School (RTÉ).
