I’m honored and humbled to officially join the @RecordingAcademy ’s 2025 New Member Class—an inspiring global community of creators and professionals who are shaping the future of music. This milestone is more than just a personal achievement—it’s a testament to every late night in the studio, every mix revision, and all the support I’ve received along the way. I’m grateful to God for His grace! A heartfelt thank you to everyone who’s believed in me: my mentors John “Yosh” Jaszcz, Randy Poole, Jon Blass, Adam David Smith, AyRon Lewis, Joey Fernandez and all the incredible engineers and producers who’ve shared their wisdom and encouragement. You’ve all shaped me into the mix engineer I am today. I also want to thank those who have shepherded me spiritually through my journey. God bless you! Broadcast mixing and FOH mixing are different… but they are deeply connected. At front of house, you’re balancing what the congregation hears in the room. That means understanding things like stage volume, microphone placement, instrument balance, and how the band actually sounds in the space. If the drums are too loud on stage… or the guitars are bleeding into vocal mics… that problem will follow you into the broadcast mix. So if you don’t understand how FOH works, you’ll constantly be fighting problems that started on the stage. Preamp gains are basically linked to the FOH console, hence any bad decision would have a ripple effect on the broadcast mix.
