Mind over matter ! That's what we're talking about today. The mind is so much stronger than the body. It's insane , too many people give up as soon as things get hard and that's an issue and a big one . You ever want to be good at Anything you have to step out of that comfort zone , am I saying go wreck yourself ? Absolutely not , am I saying you need to get out of that comfort zone , yes exactly ! Haven't ran in 3 years so decided to find My current ceiling today and 16 miles later we found it . I'm not a runner , far from it , are these splits impressive , no way . Did we get it done and then some yes ! Weekend of Snowshoe @gncc_racing recap ! Career day for the team ! Going 1-2-3-4 in the afternoon overall sweeping the pro podium , winning both the morning and afternoon overalls ! 3 out of the top 5 overall in the morning race as well , 3rd overall in the youth race , afternoon top amateur , 3rd in Xc2 Pro Am , even a championship wrapped up already with 4 rounds to go ! Man what a weekend ! Big shout-out and couldn't be more proud of this guy , from stepping away from Gncc racing for a couple years to coming back then to some potential career ending injuries that most would have never came back to and with all that getting back to the national podium this weekend and only a couple of seconds off of the win , this is living proof that hard work works and a strong mindset and work ethic will take you as far as you're willing to push . When Jay and I were discussing some of his goals for this season at the end of last season I won't lie I wasn't quite sure if he fully believed some of the stuff he was saying then as days / weeks and months moved forward seeing the progress in the Gym improve and on the Quad at a rapid pace it turned Me into a believer and doing it consistent week to week at the races just further drove in the point that this isn't luck it's hard work ! My current favorite superset to end a shoulder / arm day 🤘 seated barbell curls into standing barbell front raises / upright rows right into seated dumbbell rear delt flys , give it a go and enjoy the pump ! It's always cool seeing your friends do good , but to see hands on what @johnglauda712 has had to deal with the last year In a half and now back on the podium at one of the gnarliest tracks of the season after a injury as severe as he went through . Most of the general public from the outside looking in can't even fathom going through that process , and what it takes to go these speeds in general let alone after basically having your hand/wrist completely backwards at one point , this guy might piss Me off more than most somedays but days like this make it worth it , you can't hide what happens when you mix talent and hard work .
