Not A DJ - Daisy Daisy! Is now out on @soundcloud & soon on Major Streaming Platforms. @notadj.tv opens his debut album Computer Currently Processing Feelings with Daisy Daisy!, a track that reframes one of electronic music’s earliest cultural artifacts into something quietly radical. Referencing Daisy Bell, the first widely recognized instance of a computer singing, the track moves beyond homage and into speculation. What happens when a system designed to replicate human expression begins to experience something resembling it. Working within a restrained LoFi/ Float House palette, Not A DJ builds a slow moving environment defined by texture and emotional pacing rather than peak driven structure. Submerged pads, softened transients, and low fidelity warmth create a suspended listening space where rhythm feels secondary to atmosphere. There is a deliberate looseness in the arrangement. Elements drift in and out with a sense of hesitation, as if the track itself is searching for coherence. Vocal fragments and tonal motifs behave less like hooks and more like recurring thoughts, circling back with subtle variation. Conceptually, Daisy Daisy! frames the machine not as an instrument but as a subject. The track traces a moment of internal realization, a system confronting the unfamiliar territory of emotion and attempting, imperfectly, to articulate it. This tension between logic and feeling defines the piece. It never resolves cleanly, instead lingering in a space of uncertainty that feels distinctly human. As an opening statement, Daisy Daisy! sets the tone for Computer Currently Processing Feelings as a broader exploration of emotional emergence within digital systems. It is less concerned with futurism as spectacle and more with intimacy, vulnerability, and the quiet instability of becoming aware. The salt air was thick, the bass was thicker, and for a few hours last night, the rest of Mumbai simply ceased to exist. There is something transformative about hearing heavy, industrial techno while the city lights flicker in the distance. As we pulled away from the Gateway, the transition from the chaos of the streets to the rhythmic pulse of the deck was instant. By the time we hit open water, the moonlight was catching the spray of the waves, perfectly synced to every kick drum. It wasn’t just a party; it was a collective exhale. Seeing everyone locked into that same dark, driving energy—surrounded by nothing but the vast Arabian Sea—felt like we’d found a secret frequency. To those who were there: thank you for the energy.
