1972 Norton Commando
The Norton is officially complete. It made its debut at the @wildrabbitmotoshow in May. The front suspension has been lowered 3 inches, the rear suspension was raised about an inch. I chose to powder coat the frame white and paint the tank Ford boxwood green. I rebuilt the engine and forks, fabricated the fenders, gas tank and oil tank out of aluminum, modified the rear frame loop and welded the exhaust. The wiring has been completely refreshed with a Motogadget m-unit. The leather seat was wrapped by @counterbalancecycles . It has an electric starter from Colorado Norton works which has been a treat.
Fork seals by @cosentinoengineering and @nycnorton are a huge upgrade to the originals.
Going to be sad not to have it in my shop but luckily it’s being delivered to my most deserving dad.
