Whilst our appreciation for music is what has brought Solace to life, we are also eager to highlight artists from other disciplines, hence we are excited to announce that we will be taking on artist residencies at Solace.
The first residency is hosted by Brendan Eccles, a Melbourne-based artist who explores his painting journey through textures, colours and crayoned multifaceted faces that punctuate his creations.
A self-taught painter and playful with this medium, Brendan experiments with different techniques to manifest his harmonious pigment combinations, developing brush movements that will invite curious minds to imagine and contemplate intuitive shapes.
Brendan’s work will be on display throughout August. The opening night on July 31 (6pm–1am) will feature an immersive fusion of art and sound, with a 2 hour vinyl DJ set from the artist alongside local favourites including the Prog Dogs and DJ Glug
