101 miles, 6,748m climb, 218,588 footsteps later... We arrived at our finishing point in Port De Pollenรงa. The route can also finish inland at Pollenรงa but the signs for the GR221 do continue right through to the Port so it only felt right. Finishing in the Port also makes the route a coast to coast hike, across the length of the island from South to North - which is always a good feeling. Although the last slog down the main road was borderline torture, having a dip in the cold sea made it all worth it at the finish line. The GR221 baby, I can't recommend this trail enough. Mallorca is a beautiful island, surprisingly rich in bio diversity. The constant panoramic views over the mountains and out to sea will stay with me for a while. Might be back for the GR222 later in the year, we'll see ๐Ÿ‘€๐Ÿ‡ช๐Ÿ‡ธ Big shout out to @trekkin_adventures for getting it done with full blown tonsillitis, absolute warrior ๐Ÿ‘Š Time to start scheming about what's next ๐Ÿฅพ #gr221 #hikingtrails #hikingadventures #thruhike #hikingtrail

Day 12 - 29 miles from Blakey Ridge to Robin Hoods bay. To sum up, in the last reel you see me set my tent up at the end of day 11 however I never got to sleep, instead I laid in there holding onto the sides of the tent all night in 30mph winds praying the tent would hold together waiting for morning to come. Eventually the light came and I had to make the decision to pack up at 5:30am feeling absolutely shocking, after that there was nothing else for me to do other than to start walking so that's what I did. When I finally got down from the ridge I got my first unexpected view of the North Sea and well... that was it... my mind was made up... I wasn't going to stop walking that day until I reached the finish line. 29 miles later I reached Robin Hoods Bay with daylight to spare. I had to tap into something yesterday, divine masculine energy and just let the dog out of the cage, head first into adversity, fists clenched ready to fucking crawl to the finish line, whatever it takes. That's why I didn't post about finishing yesterday because I had to go dark and switch off. I learnt a lot about myself yesterday and what I'm capable of when the odds are stacked against me. What a fucking trippy experience. Appreciation post coming soon just to say thanks to everyone properly, you are all fucking amazing and all of the support has meant the world ๐Ÿค #coasttocoast #coast2coast #wainwrightscoasttocoast #hiking #camping #travel #explore #hikinguk #campinguk #wildcampinguk #lakedistrict #yorkshiredales #northyorkmoors

Another long distance trail ticked off! Really hoping the Cumbria Way is granted @national.trails status in the future ๐Ÿคž๐Ÿผ It's a fantastic route across one of the most beautiful parts of England. Completing the trail in November with constant torrential rain and limited amounts of daylight brought about its own challenges but it made for an even more memorable time with @trekkin_adventures and @tommyexplorez . An experience I'll never forget, much respect boys and thanks for the memories! I absolutely love this stuff man! Blessed, grateful, onto the next one! ๐Ÿฅพ๐Ÿ‘‹๐Ÿผ #cumbriaway #lakedistrict #lakedistrictnationalpark #hikinguk #hikingadventures #hikingtrails #hikemore #hiking #hiker #lakedistrictwalks

Yorkshire Wolds Way ๊ชœ Day 1: 28 miles | Day 2: 30 miles | Day 3: 22 miles The Wolds Way is a designated long distance hiking trail that spans for around 80 miles from Hessle in the East Riding of Yorkshire to the Filey Brigg in North Yorkshire. It is the shortest of the designated National Trails but you shouldn't underestimate the rolling chalk hills. Although there are some largely flat sections, it can be quite an undulating and uneven route at times. It's known for being the quietest National Trail and so far, I would have to agree. I spent hours and hours hiking on my own across chalk hills, dales and agricultural land. I only saw a handful of people on the trails across the entire 80 mile stretch. However, I was not alone as the route was rich with wildlife. Deer, hares, rabbits, red kites, owls, mice, you name it. The biodiversity of this landscape ended up being the highlight for me. Not to mention the wide open, expansive views over God's own back yard. YORKSHIRE! Full video & GPX file coming soon on YouTube! Any questions? Day 2 of the Wolds Way looked a little bit like this... It's been a while since I did a 30 mile day but I wanted to push myself and just see what gears I could find. I passed through so many hidden valleys/dales on this day. The Yorkshire Wolds is a severely underrated landscape and I love it like that. The trails were empty, it was just me and a wide open landscape. One of the main highlights of this trail for me was the abundance of wildlife. I lost count of the amount of hares and deer that I'd seen. The full video that I'm editing for YouTube will go into much more detail about the landscape and the trail. Final 22 miles up soon ๐Ÿฅพ #hikinguk #hikingtrails #hikingadventures #thruhike #yorkshire

Day 1 of hiking the Yorkshire Wolds Way looked a little bit like this... There was a lot more chaos in-between these shots that will be shown in the full video on YouTube once I get around to editing it all. I think this one is going to be a good one. Something about it just feels right, although that might just be the Yorkshire in me talking. 28 miles on this day, 55K steps and I wild camped in some random woods surrounded by deer that night. What a mad old 'hobby' this is turning out to be. Day 2 recap pending... #yorkshirewolds #nationaltrail #thruhike

โ€ข ๐™ˆ๐™ค๐™ง๐™ง๐™ค๐™ฌ - We woke up early the following morning, got packed up and got out of there before people started heading down the trail. It was a short hike back to the car but there is just something special about being the first people up and out there. That early morning air just hits differently. The pressure, the moisture, the cold touch. We were tired and looking forward to some warm food and some fresh coffee but that's also part of the beauty of wild camping: you appreciate the comforts of daily life so much more afterwards. Beautiful times. It goes without saying, however of course, as always: leave nae trace ๐ŸŒ€ #wildcamping #wildcampinguk #wildcamp #peakdistrict

โ€ข ๐™ˆ๐™ค๐™ค๐™ฃ๐™ง๐™ž๐™จ๐™š - Took Angie & Ginger for their second ever wild camp over the weekend and we were treated to an absolute spectacle. The Flower moon was sitting low on the horizon as we were setting up, glowing all kinds of red and purple. Even though the clouds rolled in as time went on, the wind dropped dead which was more than welcome. There were a few people hanging around on the edge as we set up but it soon cleared out and we had the landscape all to ourselves. We actually had no idea about the full moon, it was totally unplanned and that's exactly why you've just got to keep turning up and getting out there because you just never know what you might be missing. Memories locked in, blessed! Got loads of recent hikes and new spots to share but thought I'd get this one straight up, morning shots to follow soon. #wildcamping #wildcampinguk #wildcamp #peakdistrict

โ€ข ๐——๐—ฎ๐˜†๐—ฏ๐—ฟ๐—ฒ๐—ฎ๐—ธ: Scenes from the morning after the night before. Cowboy camping with no tent, no shelter. Just waking up totally immersed in the landscape and the elements. It's a strange feeling, being in spots like this for a prolonged period of time. Being inside a tent does come with a nice sense of security, almost like being engulfed in your own little bubble away from the world - however sleeping with no shelter, no walls, no barriers from the outside world comes with its own unique blend of both adrenaline and serenity. You feel it all, the wind, the moisture, the sun, the scents, the world unfolding around you. Tremendous times. #wildcamping #wildcampinguk #wildcamp #hikingadventures

๐—ก๐—ถ๐—ด๐—ต๐˜๐—ณ๐—ฎ๐—น๐—น: Cowboy camp scenes from Saturday night! After we managed to get set up in the dark and hunker down, things started to get a bit strange... in the middle of the night I was approached by a flock of sheep with one trying to climb onto my sleeping pad, so I woke up to a sheep with horns standing over me staring into my soul like the devil reincarnated. Then to top it all off, there was a secret pop up rave somewhere nearby blasting hardstyle all night so I was laid there, awake, keeping an eye out for the devil sheep and listening to the bassline rumbling through the valley all night ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ‘น๐Ÿ๐ŸŽถ. Funny memories though and that's what it's all about at the end of the day ๐Ÿค ! #wildcamping #wildcampinguk #wildcamp #peakdistrict

โ€ข ๐—š๐—ฅ๐Ÿฎ๐Ÿฎ๐Ÿญ - 100 mile thru hike across the Spanish island of Mallorca ๐Ÿ‡ช๐Ÿ‡ธ๐Ÿฅพ On our 4th full day we bagged another 21 miles and finished the last major ascent and descent. 1,455m of elevation gain and 1,455m back down to our final wild camping spot. We were running low on water on this day and hiking up and down mountains in 30ยฐc direct sunlight is thirsty work. Luckily we both had water filters and managed to grab some at high elevation, otherwise we would have been in trouble. Later down the trail we landed in a monastery in Lluc where we indulged in some holy water which is said to have healing properties. I think we were beyond fixing at this point but we were grateful for the hydration and the intention nonetheless. Final day up next ๐ŸฆŽ Reupload as Insta decided to change the song slip! ๐Ÿ™ #gr221 #thruhike #hikingadventures #hikingtrails #hikemore

โ€ข ๐—š๐—ฅ๐Ÿฎ๐Ÿฎ๐Ÿญ - Hiking 100 miles across the Spanish island of Mallorca on the GR221 long distance hiking trail ๐Ÿ‡ช๐Ÿ‡ธ Our third full day looked a little bit like this! After the sun rose on an impromptu cowboy camp on the side of a mountain, we picked the trail back up and crunched out another 20 miles which included a total descent of 1,500m and another total climb of over 1,000m. I was too tired to get any night shots of the wild camp that night but we set up in an absolutely magical spot next to several waterfalls and pools where we managed to get a nice cold dip to end the day. You'll see the spot in the next post as I took some photos in the morning, it was my favourite spot along the entire route. By the end of this trip, living out of our backpacks and sleeping rough in the woods was starting to feel like normality ๐Ÿ˜‚ Absolutely loved it! #gr221 #hikingtrails #hikingadventures #thruhike #wildswimming
