Everything needs a box! I re-discovered that I like making fabric covered boxes. I made a box to store the wedding accessories I made last month. #Weddingflowergirlideas #Weddingringbearerbox #Weddingringbearer

Breanna of @portraitofaseamstress is modeling a wool cloche from my pattern no. 66 decorated with rounds of wired ribbon run thru a smocker-pleater with two rows of gathering threads on the inside edge. Pattern; 1920s sewn fabric cloche for sale in paper or download on my site (link in bio). #Smocking Fan, modified artwork from Vogue by Helen Dryden. Dress; sewn by me from a 1920s pattern.

I just add a how-to with patterns on making these Rolled-edge Fabric flowers. You can find a link on my site under either the "free download" or the "what's new" menus. Thanks to my models @laurietavan and @portraitofaseamstress #Fabricflowers #Fabricflowersmaking #Fabricflowerstutorial

One of the downfalls of being a Milliner is that you always see things as possible hats. Here I'm trying the possibility of using 4 of the turtles my Quilt Guild makes to sell along with many other things to raise money for our Student Scholarship at MLML. While they did not make a good hat they did sell and we raised enough at the open house to fund our Scholarship for another year.

For those of you that have one of my kits for the 1826 Reticule if you would like the pattern for the ring insert just DM me. This is what the structure looks like. #1830sfashion #romanticerafashion #1820sfashion

After all the versions of this 1830s Reticule I have made I've finally made the one closest to the Ackermann's Fashion Plate. #1830sfashion #romanticerafashion

Finished. Both the ring bearer and the flower girl. The green one is very much like the 1930 reticule except for the platform inside that holds the rings. (not the real rings for now but costume jewelry rings). #Weddingflowergirlideas #Weddingringbearerbox #Weddingringbearer

You might remember the 1830s Reticule kits I made up and sold last year. Well I'm making a container for rose petals for the flower girl at my niece's wedding and a coordinating case for the ring bearer to carry. I'm only half done with the ring case. It will be more like the reticule with a top and bottom half but inside a platform with slits for the rings. #Weddingflowergirlideas

I just finished my triple article on the three men's hats that touched my hat loving hands. You can find the photos and text on my site linked under my "What's new" menu. Link to my website in my bio. The new article is on a beautiful Homburg from the same high end Chicago store. From a look at the hashtags below there are a lot of people who do not know what a Homburg hat is. A Homburg does not have a pinch in the center front that creates the two dents each side of the center front. Just a dent down the center of the crown tip front to back. #Homburg #Homburg hat #Homburg gray

I added another Early 20thC Men's Hat to my articles section. If you want to see more there is a link under my "What's New" menu on my site (link in bio). This one was interesting because it could be taken apart and see how some things were done that you usually can't see. #tophat #tophats
