🧊❄️ COVER - FROZEN SOUL ❄️🧊 "In just five years, FROZEN SOUL has spread its icy, raucous sound across the scene, having opened for powerhouses in the industry such as NAPALM DEATH, KILLSWITCH ENGAGE, and HEAVEN SHALL BURN, as well as a run of headline tours of their own. Their recently released single, No Place of Warmth, the title track of their upcoming album, has already sent ripples across the community; a sure response to GERARD WAY unexpectedly delivering death metal vocals. We caught up with the band to dig into the frozen nitty-gritty of their new record and find out where they’re headed next." “The final half an hour break is spent with the Digital crowd filing onto the Millenium Square balcony, taking in the last of an unusually hot day before “backstreet’s back” lets them know the main event is starting. Out comes Hyphen in his signature micro shorts, this time paired with a salmon waistcoat adorned with blue birds and flowers. The set opener is This Might be it, and Hyphen can barely last half a verse before jumping from digital’s stage to dance his way through the crowd.” Hyphen took over Britain together with Gen And The Degenerates, Mudrat and Native James and we had to witness it first-hand. "If there’s any impression to take away from this short yet mighty set, it’s that BASEMENT’s chokehold on the UK’s underground alt-rock scene will not be extinguished any time soon, and we welcome them back wholeheartedly." We die for a little while with BASEMENT, at their intimate album release tour for Wired. 🔌 Words and Photos: Paul Cutts

"With another full-to-bursting year ahead of them, the duo reflect on how they handled being on the road as a full band and what that looks like for the coming months. “We’re good as a band at enjoying the wholesome side of things, we just find wholesome things to do, almost like a family," Donoghue considers, before Seaton excitedly reminisces about a safari park and inflatable course. “We’re in the toughest part of this new growth as a band, it will beat you into the ground, so you have to find the joy in it"." We had a chat with Brighton duo WREX ahead of the release of their new EP SADWORLD. Full interview is available to read on our site. “By the time thistle. were ready to headline, the sold-out venue was packed shoulder-to-shoulder. The atmosphere through the set up felt restless in the best possible way, with people clearly desperate for the set to start.” Thistle. took over Manchester together with Ugly Ozo and StopOver and we had to be in the thick of it 🔥 Full review is now available to read on our site. "PALEDUSK are the rising voice in Japanese metalcore. Reaching beyond the scene’s heavy conventions, they strive for constant experimentation to create their full, maximalist vision. When it came to releasing their latest self-titled record, this uncompromising sound has sent them stratospheric, a far cry from their 2024 opening slot with POLARIS, the last time the band were in the UK. Whilst the band fully stands on its own, success could also be seen in guitarist DaiDai’s producing credits, including assisting BRING ME THE HORIZON with a hefty chunk of Post Human: Next Gen." We set the bar high with Paledusk, Knosis, Greyhaven and Headwreck. Read the review on our website now. Words: Amber Brooks Photos: Izzy Sheldon

“After two fantastic support acts, the stage was now set for the main event. Red and blue lights pulsing through the atmospheric darkness as anticipation and expectations started to rise. Cheers erupted as drummer Sam Brownlow took to the stage, growing louder as Larry Sobieraj and Ellis James appeared guitar and bass in hand, all playing the opening track Prologue.“ Mallavora played a release show for their debut album What If Better Never Comes? in their hometown Bristol and the night was one that will go down in the history 🌻 Full review is now available to read on our site. “By the time Love Rarely bounded out on stage, the audience was wall-to-wall packed and practically sitting on the stage. There was just enough space for singer Courtney “CJ” Levitt to stride along the edge and bring her tenacious screams to opener Whiplash, with foreboding guitar riffs and funk elements over a pulsating beat and bass, a short and sourly sweet kick-off to their electric set.” Love Rarely brought the release show of their debut album Pain Travels to London’s The Grace and the night was indeed a special one ✨ Full review is now available to read on our site.
