It all started with two gals who were outside with me in the rain under the canopy of beautiful pine trees that kept us somewhat dry. That would be my forever core memory- savasnah in rain, experiencing stillness and beautiful nature at its peak in 2024 . I moved out of the city in 2025, thinking I would never return to my beloved city. I am so back and ready to continue the work I started two years ago along with @ourthrive The reason why I started this community focused classes is lack of affordability in the city when it comes to wellness. I also noticed there were so many running groups but none for yoga where you wouldn’t have to pay and this was back in 2024, talk about being expensive now. I believe in ancient ways of learning and teachings, spirituality and Sadhna shouldn’t cost you half of your pay check. Especially when rate of mental illnesses are high, cost of living is high and many more things. I want to bring yoga back to its roots and one shouldn’t feel pressured or ashamed to express their authenticity. Join us every Saturday at 9:00-10:00 am to experience unity between your body, mind and soul at 15 Marine Parade (Humber bay shore park) You are welcome to connect with community after the class, bring friends and start your weekend with right intentions. What if winter isn’t the problem, but the invitation? Today’s sunrise was an invitation to move beyond our old relationship with winter. For a long time, winter meant withdrawal. It meant heaviness, seasonal darkness, and a desire to stay indoors and disconnected from nature. Through cold exposure, we’ve been given a different entry point. A way to reconnect with the land, to be present with the season, and to meet winter rather than resist it. To mark the first official day of winter, we gathered for a dip and a moment of connection. Not as a challenge, but as a celebration. We invite you to embrace winter in your own way. Meet us at the beach. Go for a walk. Sit with a hot cappuccino. Step outside, even briefly, and let yourself feel the season as it is. Thank you for being part of this community and this unfolding journey. First snow. First dip. First moment of the new season. This Sunday we kicked off our 2025/2026 season with our first snow day and our first lake dip. Keep an eye out for sunrise lake activations which offer a moments to move, breathe, and connect through cold exposure. 👇How to deal with your anger 😡 First understand how is it you are betraying yourself by playing small? Anger is a byproduct of a lack of self expression. If you are unable to express your truth, your body responds and the anger you feel deep in your bones is one way that the body expresses itself to you What you are feeling is a lack of control. This is a tough one because we have to accept that not everything is within our control however you can absolutely optimize the things that are within your control: 💥 Your thoughts. Starts with taking the responsibility from the people who hurt you and putting it on yourself. How could you stand up for yourself more? How could you establish healthier boundaries to protect yourself? 💥 How you spend your time. Instead of ruminating about them, use this time to simply have fun. Cold plunges are a great way to get that dopamine boost which will make you feel great! Studies found a 250% increase in dopamine after 1 hour of cold water immersion 💦 💥 How you express your anger. You can go yell, scream and even be violent towards the person that hurt you or you could use that huge burst of energy to create! Anger is an awesome multiplier of your creative output - paint, dance, take up a new hobby like Muay Thai or kickboxing 🦵 Follow along for more emotional regulation tips ✨

I wasn’t always a fan of winter (and I still think it lasts a little too long in Canada) but cold dipping paired with breathwork has completely changed my perspective. I get excited thinking about an outdoor cold dip in nature, but the night before, the usual excuses roll in: “Maybe I need more sleep,” or “Do I really need to do this?” Still, every time that I show up, I remember exactly why I keep coming back. From witnessing the sunrise or sunset, to the warm hugs and deep connection with community, to the 30 seconds of discomfort when hitting the water, I always leave feeling recharged. The mental clarity this combo brings is unmatched. It helps quiet my mind, manage the ups and downs of ADHD, and regulate my nervous system — it helps me Thrive. For me personally, thriving isn’t about being in a perfect state—it’s about building resilience and perseverance, it’s about choosing to show up and not give up, and to lean into the discomfort trusting that growth is happening along the way. Huge shoutout to @argueta.j.thomas I’m forever grateful for your empowerment, guidance and support through my cold exposure journey.
