Stay at Our Plaace

in NESKOWIN still day dreaming of this week w family out at @ourplaace in neskowin!! for those that don’t know (or those that are new here, haii!!) .. i grew up visiting this house my entire childhood. every august we would holiday together as a family and play games & eat meals around the same dining table that remains today. my brothers and i would ride our bikes to the local market for a scoop of tillamook ice cream. we would build sandcastles down on the beach. we would watch our uncle and godfather surf. we would get wood fired pizza from hawk creek cafe. my parents and grandparents would teach us how to play cribbage. we would play golf at the charming 9-hole golf corse w my dad, uncles and grandpa! we have so many core memories at this home + it’s wild to see my nieces and nephews starting these same traditions we grew up doing + maybe even more wild to think that my grandparents were renting this house before my parents even had kids. and i still can’t get over the fact that my husband and i just *happened to be in the area and walk from the local market to what is now @ourplaace in neskowin almost two years ago to find that this same home had been listed for sale only two days prior. and that my bestie @jessicalynnisme and i were able to start this wild adventure together and create such a magical experience not only for us to enjoy w our family & friends, but for so so many others to be able to experience and come back to year after year. huge thank you to everyone of you for following along and supporting this journey. also. stay tuned… we will be doing a pretty special giveaway next week as a way to say THANK YOU for (almost) two years of Our Plaace!! sweet captures by @kjsampsonite of @ourplaace xoxo

woke up early, made coffee, watched the coast wake up. Neskowin mornings just feel different!

FINDING INSPO @kdcountryhouse booked a little besties staycation to wine country recently + spent the weekend tucked away at the beautifully restored @kdcountryhouse 1908 farmhouse by @kaemingkcollection in dundee, oregon. surrounded by oak trees, evergreens, and some of the best wineries in the willamette valley, it made for the dreamiest little weekend getaway. located in dundee, oregon — about an hour outside of portland in the red hills of dundee. sleeps six
2 bedrooms + den / 2 bathrooms why we love: peaceful woodland setting. thoughtful design details throughout. cozy pellet stove evenings. the dreamiest sauna tucked inside a cedar lined shed overlooking the trees. french doors opening onto the backyard. also noting a moment for the perfect lighting and dimmers... a stocked wine library (!!) for guests.. all of which made staying in feel extra special. we checked in. grabbed pizza from @redhillsmarket + a bottle of vino before heading back to the house for late night chick chats. our day of wine tasting included @rodeohills + a picnic from @merenda.deli enjoyed at @granville_wines followed by a stop at @winerylanecollective on our way back into portland. some nearby favorites include: — WINE

in NESKOWIN “First of all - Neskowin is the cutest, most charming little town I’ve ever been to. The little market @neskowinprovisions the people, all of the beautiful little homes, all of it being so perfect. @ourplaace was the sweetest and most stunning home that instantly we felt so cozy in. We did a long walk along the beach and collected seashells. Ordered in Pizza from the nearby cafe @cafeonhawkcreek and watched the sunset on the back deck. It was so breathtaking. All of the details of the home felt so intentional & cozy. The @parachutehome bath towels, the @_sunnyday.co coffee and @cosa__ceramica coffee cups, the complimentary @suzor_wines bottle of wine for us. We just felt so loved on. in NESKOWIN “Our Plaace is the most incredible Airbnb that I’ve stayed at the coast! The dreamy beach house is steps from the ocean and every detail is thought of. I’ll miss waking up to the ocean waves every morning! It’s spacious and perfect for a group but cozy for a romantic getaway. We’ll definitely be back soon :) The perfect day when visiting Our Plaace in Neskowin: A sunny, no wind morning watching the sunrise while throwing the ball for the pups on the beach. Afterwards, drinking coffee while sitting on the deck waving at beach goers as they stroll by. A long walk on the beach and collecting seashells. Taking film photos on the walk back to Our Plaace. It’s early afternoon and we brought all the fixings from Providore for the perfect charcuterie. We snuggle up to watch a movie and snack. Now it’s time to prep dinner and open a bottle of wine. We set the table and light candles before taking the chicken out of the oven. Sitting down for dinner as the sun is setting and sharing our favorite moment from the day. We eat dessert while playing cribbage and drinking champagne. We know we have the comfiest bed with clean sheets waiting for us and we sleep uninterrupted through the night. in late february, we went on what we thought would be our dream trip. a place we had dreamed of experiencing together for years. to find inspo for @ourplaace @g.lovepdx @theloveshackpdx we drove the winding roads through wine country, through the redwoods, and along the coastline + we watched the light move across sea ranch + shared oysters in tómales bay + lingered over meals and glasses of wine. and somewhere in the middle of it, everything changed. this was where we got the call. where our world quietly split in two — before and after. we flew home early to be with our sweet gussi boii for his final twenty four hours. we came home as soon as we could + snuggled up with him next to the fire. his favorite. and helped him feel as much love + comfort as we could through all his pain. we miss him more than i can even put into words. our house feels empty with out his playful energy. the quiet is heavier. there are little reminders of him in every corner and in our every day. i couldn’t look at these photos until just yesterday. even now, they feel incredibly heavy. there may be beauty in these images, but for me they carry the deep feeling of heartbreak and loss. will share more of this trip and will be going back down there again soon. but for now.. just a little reminder that there is always more happening beneath the surface than what we choose to share. forever grateful for my love @chefgarrettbenedict and holding my hand through it all. and deeply grateful for everyone who has shown so much love and support. we love you and miss you forever, our sweet angel gussi boii x

in NESKOWIN “We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Our Plaace in Neskowin! The home’s location is unbeatable—just steps from the beach with stunning ocean views and direct access right from the deck. It was incredibly peaceful listening to the waves and watching the sunset. Inside, the space was beautifully curated and thoughtfully stocked. The beds were very comfortable with luxurious linens and pillows, and we especially appreciated the curated Spotify playlist for setting the perfect vibe. The multiple coffee makers were a great touch and made it easy for everyone to enjoy their coffee of choice in the morning. The kitchen was well equipped, and the overall layout felt relaxed yet stylish. The host was super accommodating and communicative, making check-in effortless and answering all of our questions quickly.
