Some things in life just happen the way they are meant to be. That is exactly how I would describe how I met
@igor_golyak_ .
When I came to America four years ago, at the beginning of the war, I fell into a very dark place ā depression. It wasnāt only because I lost money, connections, projects, friends, and my motherland. It was because, in a way, I lost myself.
One night, I had a dream about this school. When I woke up, I realized I needed to create a new version of
@ourclassnyc A play about war and life, betrayal and friendship, love and death, faith, doubt, antisemitism and what it means to be human.
A few days later, I met Igor. I will be forever grateful to him, to Sara and
@arlekinplayers that brought us together, to all our collaborators, and to the donors who supported this dream from the beginning. I am deeply grateful to
@mart.foundation , to our actors, who pour their hearts into this story night after night, and to our incredible audience, who make it come alive.
Our Class is not just a play ā it is therapy. It has reminded us that even in the darkest moments, art can be a light.
@ourclassnyc will be in San Francisco for one more week. Trust me, itās worth your time ā not just to be moved, but to leave inspired, to reflect, and to find light in your own dark momentsš
