Fully-fenced, non-slip flooring, shaded seating, and tons of fun for all-ages! 💦 It is currently open on Saturday & Sunday, but will be open Wednesday - Monday (closed Tuesdays) for the summer schedule starting on May 25! 🎟️ Tickets are offered for timed sessions and you can book them online for $3 (under 16) $4 (17 and above). Just 2 hours from Atlanta! 📍 @rubyfallscave is located in Chattanooga and is the perfect day trip from Atlanta! 💦 Ruby Falls is the tallest underground waterfall open to the public in the United States! You are able to take a glass-front elevator 260ft into the heart of Lookout Mountain and hike through the cave on a guided tour to the falls. The hike takes roughly 1 hour and 20 minutes and is very kid-friendly! I would recommend a hiking backpack or baby carrier for little ones however. 🥾 Historic Ruby Falls Cave is an estimated 30 million years old and Ruby Falls was discovered in 1928 by Leo Lambert. You get to learn all about how he discovered Ruby Falls and all the different cave formations throughout the cave on your journey! 🏰 Historic Ruby Falls Castle was built using the limestone removed during the excavation of the elevator shaft! You can actually dine inside the Castle Cafe and my 3yo daughter LOVED that we had lunch inside a castle! ⛰️ Don’t miss the The Blue Heron and historic Lookout Mountain Tower overlooks while you’re there! ✨YOU NEED TO TAKE THIS WEEKEND TRIP FROM ATL TO THE FLORIDA KEYS! ✨ ✈️ My goal is to take more quick trips with my kids this year and I cannot gate-keep this one! This is NOT sponsored, but we flew our family of 4 @flyfrontier from ATL to Miami for $76 TOTAL! There are frequently round trip flights for $38 per person and we have the discount den membership that gets us free kids flights on select days/ flights (*these are typically only on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, so we did take this trip during the week to make it work. The discount den membership is $99 for the year typically, but I got it for $59 last June on sale for the year. It’s been SO worth it getting free flights for the kids! It’s only available on certain routes/flights and it’s one kid per adult seat purchased with age restrictions so check all the deets before buying it, but it’s been amazing for us)! We just flew with personal items and stroller/car seat bags for free and had plenty of space leftover, but a diaper bag also flies free! We flew out after 9 am and were in Miami around 11:30. 🚗 We rented from @turo .I’ve used this in several cities and love how we can just grab the car from the airport garage as soon as we land and the host unlocks it remotely. It’s always been the easiest, most affordable, and best option with kids and car seats. 🍊We stopped by @puravidamiami (Dixie St location) around 12:15 and placed a pickup order online to save time. Their kids meals are SO CUTE. The food is fresh, healthy, and delicious but this isn’t a cheap option (worth it tho)😋! 🐊 We decided to add 30 minutes to our drive time to the Keys and stop by the Everglades on the way down. 100 percent recommend doing this!!! We arrived at the Ernest F. Coe Visitor’s Center around 2 or so and then drove over to the Anhinga trail. The trail is 0.8 miles round trip (mostly on a boardwalk). We didn’t even do the whole thing and saw countless alligators, birds, fish, turtles, and more! It was a short easy trail with tons of wildlife/perfect for littles! ✨ Viral Sheep Matcha Lattes near Atlanta - for when mama needs a matcha fix!✨ 📍 @common.coffee.cocktails is serving up the viral sheep lattes in Doraville and I 10/10 recommend. 🍵 The matcha is mixed with earl grey and WOW. It was so good! I’m a matcha snob and this one was on point. It was earthy (but not overly strong), rich and creamy on the top, and smooth and silky on the bottom. So good. And, hello, there’s cutey sheep on the top! 🐑 Shoutout to @travelfoodie_ishy for sharing yesterday. I was having a tough day and hopped in the car as soon as I saw the sheep on the matcha. ✨ MUST-VISIT LAKE BEACH AND PLAYGROUND! 1.5 hour drive from Atlanta!✨ 📍 Sandy Creek Park is located in @visitathensga and it is awesome! 🏖️ The lake beach is perfect for warm days with plenty of sand, a roped-off swimming area, and even kayak rentals! 🛝 The inclusive playground is fully-fenced and packed with fun for the kids! It is an amazing playground for all abilities, but it probably will get a little toasty in the dead of summer with the turf. Thankfully, it’s near the beach and there’s even a misting station right outside the playground. I’d recommend visit the playground in the morning and then heading down to the beach on super hot days! 🚗 There is a $2 admission fee to the park for ages 4-64, but it’s worth it! There park is huge with trails, volleyball, basketball, disc golf, camping etc. It’s so peaceful and definitely a must-visit as the weather warms up! 🍲 We ate @maepole_ about a 10 minute drive away and it was perfect with the kids. DON’T miss their lemonade drinks 🤤 🐢 You could also visit the Sandy Creek Nature Center nearby (free)! I have a couple reels featuring it and definitely recommend tagging it on to your visit! ✨Brand New Indoor Playspace in Atlanta!✨ 📍 @playstreetmuseum just opened it’s second Metro Atlanta location in Buckhead (the first location is in Alpharetta). 🏬 It is set-up like a pretend neighborhood full of shops, a house, and even a pretend airplane. 🚂 There is a Lego Duplo coding train table that is so much fun, tables full of STEAM and art activities (you can even make slime or paint pottery for an additional fee), and they rotate themes every couple of months (right now it is space and in May it will be dinosaurs)! ✈️ This playspace is perfect for toddlers and is a smaller setting that won’t be overstimulating. It’s great if you want somewhere you can keep an eye on them without having to chase them around! ✨The Play Stream Water is ON at this Park in Metro Atlanta! ✨ 📍 @alpharettaparks has officially kicked off splashpad season by turning the play stream water on at Webb Bridge Park! 💦 This playground is such a fam favorite with the play stream, shaded sandbox, updated play structures, and lots of swings! ☀️ Share with a friend and plan a play date stat! NOTE: there were some operational difficulties with the water pump last year.
