🚛 The impact of close-to-market aggregate is huge!
Every extra kilometre aggregate trucks in Ontario travel means 7,000 extra tonnes of GHGs in the atmosphere and an extra 2.6 million litres of diesel fuel used.
♻️ If we want to protect the environment, we need to allow aggregate close to where its needed.

🪨 The OSSGA team was on the road over the past couple weeks, meeting with members in Ottawa, Niagara, Simcoe, Sudbury and Waterloo.
After our last regional meeting yesterday in Waterloo, we're taking time to reflect on what we learned and the feedback we received from members across the province. This was an excellent opportunity for members to share insights on regional issues and staff to give important updates, including on files such as Bill 98 and other new legislation, red tape, engagement with TAPMO municipalities and municipal-level challenges, Indigenous relations and MPAC.
Thank you to everyone who participated and contributed to the discussion.
