What does it mean to keep a culture alive under occupation?
“Let There Be Light” is an immersive exhibition by Tibetan artist Tenzing Rigdol that confronts exile, identity, and cultural erasure under Chinese rule while illuminating a resilience that refuses to disappear.
Rigdol is the first Tibetan artist with work in the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s permanent collection. He is internationally recognized for “Our Land, Our People,” a landmark project that brought Tibetan soil into exile so displaced Tibetans could reconnect with their homeland.
