Grateful for my conversation with @osirisyesiah , a friend and young Bronx rapper, about our vision to fully fund art and culture in NY-15.
Hip hop was born in the Bronx and grew into a multi-billion-dollar industry. But the artists who carry that legacy today still struggle to access the resources that flow freely to the already wealthy.
We’re fighting to make the Bronx the cultural capital it already is—by taxing the executives who profit from our culture and investing those dollars directly into our communities.
EASIN TOWARDS A SMILE 🌟 music video out now (link in bio) grateful I get to share these words, hopeful sum of them might connect with you. Lemme know what yall think🤲🏾

While we’re told to eat cheeseburgers and pop fireworks in the name of “American Freedom”, 50,000 migrants sit in detention centers, denied entry to the nation that created the very problems they flee from. The U.S. takes no issue sending CIA agents to destabilize other countries but takes every issue when people from those same countries try to find stable lives here. As immigrant lives are threatened, as Palestinians starve and millions of working class Americans prepare to lose healthcare, this 4th of July is far from a celebration. It is a reminder to fight for our actual liberation. How? Get organized!
@pslnational@nycpsl if you’re in the Bronx there will be an organizing meeting Sat, July 5 at 11:30 am 1158 Intervale Ave. One love
