Hi, my name is Ose and it’s taken me 29 years to admit that the shame culture has had its toll on me. Right now, I’m eager to see what my life will be without shame.
I’m excited to witness the glory of audacity. I’ll be spreading my wings and flying, stacking up as much wins as I possibly can in anticipation of my 30th.

Slide 1 - 5: The beautiful women (and a man) in my life spent their money and took out their time to plan a surprise for me and it couldn’t have gone better. I mean, slide 4 is literally me eating them up with tales of how I knew they were trying to pull this off. (Chioma, Sylvia, Machi, Mfon, Sally, Ruby, Chuks- you ladies are all goated!!!) Love you all 🥹

Slide 8: Vibes of Lagos put me on a screen at Project Escape. I was so tickled.
Slide 9: A very beautiful woman was taking me videos and pictures and she was so into it. She told me that I was beautiful 😭 and that made my night.

This planning took 3 months and 16 beautiful women who love her and put in the work to show up!
It also took me lying and archiving the group chat so that she won’t see a message pop up by accident.
It took me reaching out to some people via LinkedIn to get their phone numbers to add them to the group.
It was a lot. A lot of looking for a venue and for vendors to get the things that we required.
And @mmanuel.shotit captured every single moment so beautifully.
If nothing else, I will rest knowing that I am a good planner and an even better friend.
My period started on the morning of my friend’s wedding that I’ve been anticipating and planning towards.
It was so bad and I was mostly irritated all day but that didn’t stop me from having fun!!!
