My Fujifilm recipes spread fast and before long more than 40k people were following my page. It was exciting, but over time I found myself creating for the app instead of for myself. Doomscrolling and often wasting my time. Planing trips to feed the algorithm and earn likes. That’s not why I started photography.
I want photography to stay something I enjoy. Personal and not driven by external validation. So I’ve decided to step away from the Gram. I’ll keep making photos and keeping my website up, but I won’t be active here anymore, although I will miss my IG friends.
Maybe one day I’ll share something different here; sailing, travel, or another project, but if I do, it will be with a completely different intention. For now, I’m closing this chapter.
Thank you to everyone who supported my work. It meant a lotđź–¤
Last set from Venice.
This city is truly one of my favorites in Europe. One of my favorite memories is from a late night water bus ride through the canal, when the stars and the moon were shining brightly.
After using the X100VI for one year, there is one thing I wish Fujifilm had added: the ability to overwrite the values of the dials such as shutter speed, ISO, and aperture in the custom settings. This is pretty much my only gripe with this camera. Panning shots need to be planned ahead since this function simply does not exist. Besides that, I have nothing to complain about and still love using it.
Porto might be the place where I retire and spend the rest of my life taking photos. Plus, the Pastel de Nata alone makes moving to Portugal worth it🇵🇹
