📨 Postal Games: Correspondence Route #5
Last stop of this stage 🙌🏽
We arrived at Spelkollektivet,
a coliving for video game developers. There we found people from many places, not just Sweden: Brazil, the US, Denmark, Netherlands, Austria, Israel, England, Scotland, Taiwan, China, Poland, France, Mexico, Spain, and more.
Most of them were curious but couldn’t commit, as they understood the importance of this experience. They didn’t want to do it “just like that.”
But we did have some brave ones who joined in.
This is only the end of the second stage. 😯
👉🏼 Coming soon: the third stage — Postal Games: The Final Address, to be held in Buenos Aires!
📨 Postal Games: Correspondence Route #4
👉🏼 We kept delivering letters and made it to London .
There, we met up with developer friends who were excited to join along with some of their colleagues.
🍻 Over a few beers, we chatted about the importance of in-person moments and the idea of reviving old traditions or living out experiences we never had.
Eager to share stories with other dev, a piece of themselves, a memory, an anecdote, they committed to being part of this journey.
Thanks for joining us ✨
📨 Postal Games: Correspondence Route #3
Landing in Barcelona, Spain! 🇪🇸
We met up with the Barcelona Game Creators — a community where game creators and enthusiasts come together to connect, learn and have fun.
And trust us: they really are passionate and eager to connect with other devs and communities. 🤗
It was a different kind of vibe from what we’d experienced so far — and a great one.
They got to choose from all the letters we've been collecting along the way, and as always, their handwritten letters were added to the growing pool.
Super excited to keep this journey going! 💌🌍
📨 Postal Games: Correspondence Route #2
We arrived at our second stop: Turin, Italy, during @zonawarpa_
Zona Warpa is an event that aims to revive a powerful form of communication and expression, giving space to developers, to those who want to learn and start making games, or simply to anyone who wants to play and have fun.
Not only did devs from Turin join, but we also had participants from other cities like Rome and Milan.
These developers got to choose between Argentine and Polish letters — and their own handwritten letters were added to the pool.
🧳💼 More cities coming soon!
📨 Postal Games: Correspondence Route #1
The second phase began — the Jam stage.
The first city was Warsaw, Poland, featuring devs from @kntgpolygon
In this stage, each developer created a game based on the contents of a handwritten letter they opened.
To earn the right to open a letter, they first had to write one by hand.
They were given two days to complete their game.
The initial pool included handwritten letters from Argentine developers, created during the first phase.
Polish letters were added to the pool shortly after, and 7 Argentine letters had already been opened!!! 😱 📃
💌 Postal Games: The Initial Seal
The event began in Buenos Aires, Argentina, where a group of developers wrote the first handwritten letters addressed to anonymous developers in another city.
These letters respond to a general topic and are part of the "Initiator Pool", which will be transported to the first destination to begin the second phase of the Correspondence Route.
Thanks to all the devs who participated in this first stage! 🤗
📨 Postal Games
Is an itinerant gamejam based on handwritten letters that communicate gamedevs across the world. Currently, @brureale and @cocolhe13 are travelling around Europe carrying the letter that will inspire small games from abroad.
