Or Type er sjálfstæð íslensk/dönsk letursmiðja, stofnuð af Guðmundi Úlfssyni og Mads Freund Brunse, sem þróar og gefur út letur. Verk þeirra eru þekkt fyrir leikandi og tjáningarríkan stíl sem birtist víða í samtímahönnun.

Þessi bolur er partur af samsýningu á Hönnunarmars 2026 þar sem Farvi fær til liðs við sig sex hönnuði til að skapa grafík á stuttermaboli og nýta þá þannig sem miðil hönnunar og tjáningar.

Allir bolirnir eru handprentaðir í takmörkuðu upplagi á verkstæði Farva, með umhverfisvænum prentlitum á boli úr 100% lífrænni bómull. Bolurinn er í unisex sniði og kemur í stærðum S-3XL. Bolirnir fást á farvi.is

Ein einfaldasta flík fataskápsins, stuttermabolurinn, hefur lengi verið vettvangur sjónrænnar tjáningar. Hann er einföld grunnflík sem getur borið hugmyndir, skilaboð og tjáð afstöðu og um leið sagt svo margt um þann sem flíkina ber. Sýning verður opin 8. - 10. maí milli kl. 12.00-18.00 og verða silkiþrykktir bolirnir þar til sölu í takmörkuðu upplagi. Öll velkomin ❤️

Transforming ocean water into magnesium metal with Iceland’s clean energy. By extracting magnesium directly from seawater and powered entirely by Iceland’s clean energy, the project achieves zero emissions and avoids toxic byproducts altogether.
Based on the idea of transformation a bespoke headline typeface was developed with @ortype , incorporating the waves of the sea as well as referencing Icelandic carving heritage. As a variable font the communication alternates between the wavy display state and a more square and rational state representing the magnesium metal.

Excited to share this project that has been a long time in the making involving a lot of amazing collaborators. Introducing Njörður, transforming ocean water into magnesium metal with Iceland’s clean energy. By extracting magnesium directly from seawater and powered entirely by Iceland’s clean energy, the project achieves zero emissions and avoids toxic byproducts altogether.

This winter, we’re stepping beyond the screen with a limited-edition wool sweater featuring Keith — an unreleased typeface — integrated into the knit. Rendered not in pixels, but in 100% Icelandic wool. 🧶
Created in collaboration with Varma, a local knitwear company whose connection to material and place runs deep.
Keith is a variable pixel typeface with no ascenders, no descenders, and plenty of attitude. Here, it translates digital geometry into soft structure — each letterform woven into the knit as code becomes cloth.
