97 birthdays today 💨🎂
On this day in 2020, the wind turbines at Borssele 1 & 2 delivered their first power.
Together, they power 1 million Dutch households. Not bad when you’re just six years old👏
These drones can lift a dishwasher!😲
For offshore deliveries, though, that would be a bit silly..
Instead, we use them for tools, spare parts, evacuation equipment, and other essential materials.
They improve safety and enable up to 40 deliveries a day – compared to 5-6 by vessel 👏
Good morning, Gode Wind! 🌅
The Gode Wind offshore wind farms consists of 120 turbines in total and sit just 40 km off the coast of Germany 🇩🇪
Thanks @julian_al_gon for sharing the video with us!
Scale is hard to describe. So, we’ll let the photo do it. Can you spot our colleagues? (Zoom is your friend!)
Hornsea 3’s first offshore converter station is now complete, standing 70 metres above sea level 🌊
Working offshore isn’t always sunshine and rainbows👀
72 km off the coast, big waves, shifting weather, and complex logistics keep us on our toes at Borkum Riffgrund 3.
But soon, our largest offshore wind farm in Germany will be complete – and that’s really something! 🇩🇪
82 metres up, and it’s just another Thursday for @antonsejersen and @repsak89 👷♂️
Here at Anholt Offshore Wind Farm, 111 turbines delivered first power in 2012⚡️
Ever since, they’ve generated renewable power between the island of Anholt and the east coast of Jutland.
If you spotted something gigantic and very slow-moving off the coast of Vlissingen recently… this might be it 🏗️🚢
What you’re looking at is a Hornsea 3 jacket foundation. Don’t be fooled by the name – you won’t find this one in your closet.
Instead, it will sit beneath and support one of the project’s offshore converter stations.
It’s 3,500 tonnes of carefully assembled steel, built for life at sea 🌊
Wind turbine hypnosis 😵💫
There’s something strangely calming about this.
At Greater Changhua 1 and 2a, 111 wind turbines are spinning like this every day🌀
Later this year, our turbines at Greater Changhua 2b and 4 will join them.
