Our Story
In 2019, longtime Hoover residents David and Teresa Hare purchased nearly 9 acres of the former Smith Farm to preserve and grow one of Bluff Park’s most iconic landscapes. Their vision? To give back to the community that raised their children and grandchildren.
Community has always been close to their hearts — back in 2016, David and his daughter Alex opened the Bluff Park Ice Cream Shoppe, creating a space where families could make sweet memories together.
In 2023, Hare Farm became Oris & Oak. The name honors both family and heritage: Oris is David’s first name (shared by many Hare men before him), while the magnificent oak tree on Savoy stands as the property’s crown jewel.
Today, Oris & Oak is dedicated to weddings — a place where couples say “I do” and begin their forever. With natural beauty, timeless architecture, and the embrace of family and friends, our venue was designed to make your love story unforgettable. 🤍
