Some journeys canāt really be told. Theyāre meant to be lived, felt, and etched somewhere between the body and the heart.
This one falls exactly in this category to me, and I want to talk to you about it š¤
After a long and exhausting 2025 season, coming so close to a dream in Seoul as vice world champion and realizing then how much every moment matters, I needed silence - a breath of air, before going back home and permanently turning this page.
So we left. With
@adrnlemaire and
@yulen.calleja , we left, for around a month, between Korea and Japan, searching for everything we too often forget : the simple joy of walking without a certain goal, breathing without a clock, and climbing for the pure pleasure of movement.
This side of high performance rarely makes it into highlight reels or competition edits, and to me, it felt like not many of us were talking about what happens between the events, between the titles and the training sessions. *This* is also part of the journey. The road trips, the shared moments - the quiet ones - when you remember why you started climbing in the first place.
āØSo with that idea in mind, we felt. We looked, our eyes fully open, all senses aware, we breathed. Trains sliding through the leafy mountains, tiny cafĆ©s where time stands still, smiles exchanged without words, temples fading into morning mist, smells wandering through the busy Tokyo streets š„š
There were many emotions shared, bursts of laughter, gentle fatigue, quiet silences that said more than words, and that rare feeling of being exactly where youāre meant to be.
This journey taught me to dream without chasing anything, to feel without measuring, to simply be, just for a moment.
We tried to capture a little bit of this magic on film, tell a story that speaks where words fall short.
Join us on February 7th at
@arkose.issy for the premiere of « KintsugiĀ Ā» : a small piece of soul we canāt wait to share with you šš¤
Iāll forever be grateful for this life - unpredictable, demanding, and magical, shaping me in ways no ordinary job ever could.
Spoiler : some sightseeing, climbing, eating, laughing and lots of walking (maybe too much lol) šÆ
See ya in spring 2026 š
