Dumnonian Muster I
A massive thanks to all of you that turned out for the first Muster in a new location, it was great to see so many clubs in the region getting stuck in and having a great time of it.
A huge shout out has to go to Erant who prepared and ran the day! Looks like they want to make this a quarterly event and looking to get the next one on the cards as soon as possible!

Not often we see people leaping about in combat, and never so gracefully. Dan was clearly as shocked as the rest of us!

Last weekend, two our our members headed over to the Northumbrian League tournament in York, and both walked away with medals!
Alex snagged Bronze in Sword and Buckler and Edmund hit the jackpot and won the Harnischfechten tournament against tough opponents.
Both train hard and its great to see that showing in competition!
Give em a shout out folks!

Mixed weapons is one of the best ways to train! The shields add both passive protection and a chance to lockdown a fight if pressed forwards. Longswords can strike from a greater range of angles and has a bit more mobility with both hands on the sword!

Cutting the attack off before it lands, a risky tactic, but with the right timing, works a treat!
