Our Workshop Day on Saturday was a huge success, with a wonderful energy in the room and some new voices joining us to try out a day of music making. A huge thank you to our Committee and volunteers for making it such an enjoyable and cake-filled day 👏
And now we begin.... Auditions take place this evening, alongside the first rehearsal of the term, as we dive into this incredible new programme. There is something special about that first workshop, the sound coming together, the excitement of new music, and the sense of what lies ahead.

Still buzzing from last night’s concert at the @sheldoniantheatre - what an unforgettable evening! A completely packed house and a heartfelt response from the audience… we felt every second of it.
This was an incredibly demanding work, but equally rewarding for everyone involved. From the intensity and drama of the Credo (the raw emotion of the crucifixion and the hope of the resurrection), to the radiant, reverent close of the Dona Nobis Pacem - it was a journey we are proud to share.

Tonight Opus 48 performs Bach's magnificent Mass in B Minor at the Sheldonian Theatre in Oxford.
From the extraordinary opening of the Kyrie and the exuberance of the Gloria to the to the radiance of the final Dona nobis pacem, this is a work that continues to move audiences nearly 300 years later.
We look forward to sharing this masterpiece with you this evening.
