As a company specializing in high-power diode lasers since 2014, we offer extensive knowledge and experience in building reliable laser modules tailored to demanding field applications. Importantly, we do not intend to develop our own weed detection methods or AI algorithms. Instead, we leave this area fully open to our partners, while providing them with state-of-the-art laser hardware. This approach ensures that our partners can freely focus on their core technologies while relying on us for the laser source. We are able to work with blue laser modules as well as lasers operating in the visible and near-infrared spectrum. The footage shown in the video presents a real-time test using the BR-320-LC (Blue Reaper 320W) system. In this demonstration, the scanning time is set to 100 ms, allowing the system to process up to 10 weeds per second. This operating point was confirmed to deliver herbicidal efficiency of over 95%. The footage presents real-life laser weeding tests performed on forget-me-not (Myosotis) plants using BR-80-LC and BR-320-LC Blue Reaper sources. The method shown here was based on controlled tests performed on Myosotis plants grown in 48 tray cells. Every third tray cell was intentionally left untreated as a reference sample, while all remaining tray cells were illuminated. The illuminated cells were treated with either 80 W or 320 W laser power, using planned exposure times ranging from 25 to 400 ms. This created a repeating pattern of untreated reference cells and treated cells exposed to different power levels and illumination times. For illumination times of 100 ms or longer, covering 20 tray cells in total, only one illuminated tray cell showed plant growth similar to that observed in the non-illuminated reference trays. In all remaining cells, the effect was much stronger, with either an almost complete lack of growth in five cells or fully dead plants in the form of empty cells. This corresponds to a herbicidal efficiency of 95%. For shorter illumination times in the 25–100 ms range, the plants were not completely eliminated, but their growth was significantly reduced. The research was funded by Opt Lasers using revenue generated from Blue Reaper sales, and our company will continue further testing for different parameters and weed species. Aujourd’hui je réponds à vos questions + je vous donne 2 astuces 🔥 La découpe laser a été faite sur CNC grand format. Bien vu pour ceux qui ont remarqué : ce n’était pas decoupé sur un laser normal au format plus petit 😉 J’utilise une tête laser @optlasers 45w … et honnêtement c’est une dinguerie. Si tu hésites sur le choix du matériel, je peux te dire que ça envoie du lourd : puissance, précision, qualité pro… rien à dire. Autre question que j’ai vue passer : le nid d’abeilles sur CNC. Et là petite astuce 👇 Je l’ai fabriqué moi-même avec : → deux tôles → des aimants → deux grilles striées pour laisser passer les fumées Résultat : simple, efficace, et surtout beaucoup moins cher que les solutions du commerce 💸 Je l’utilise depuis un moment maintenant et clairement… ça fait le job.
