Last weekend, our Digital Organizing Coordinator, I’Jae Alvarado and Georgia Regional Organizer, Brittany Burns joined Kennesaw State University students for a powerful Day of Service. We talked about the real issues facing our communities like the threat of ICE at polling locations and why it matters with the midterms approaching. Students launched a friend-to-friend campaign reaching over 200+ people in their network in just 25 minutes.
At Black Voters Matter, digital organizing is an important tool in our toolbox. It helps us reach people where they are, break down barriers, and build community across neighborhoods and campuses. By mobilizing online, we empower our networks to take action, share resources, and protect each other.
