The past April 21st and 22nd IMYD Western Europe Leader, Opeoluwa Oguntoye, @oppyjoseph participated in the Regional Forum on Sustainable Development at UNECE (UN Economic Commission of Europe). 🇺🇳🌏
The event features substantive discussions across SDGs 6, 7, 9, 11 and 17 with a strong focus on accelerating implementation and partnerships.
Opeoluwa was able to actively contribute to several sessions, particularly by highlighting the importance of including people with disabilities in both policy dialogue and program design. This was reflected in multiple side events and was also referenced during the final summary where disability inclusion was acknowledged within the process recommendations. 🦾🤟🏻
