Selfie-based series all shot in a fictitious fitting room.
The culmination of my research on the light approaches used in various fitting rooms and their similarities with traditional studio lighting.
Also a study on the very concept of a selfie as a culturally significant format, its role in the fashion industry and its tricky relationship with computational photography.
I visited over 40 different fitting rooms, explored the intersections of digital and physical aspects of perceiving oneself, and ultimately built this set including the wooden bench made from a single piece of oak.
Natural continuation of the “Do not wear” project with focus on archival fashion.
Thanks to everyone who made the project happen!
Thanks to everyone who came to see the installation.
