Where to start...
Snatched was a beautiful reminder of why we fell in love with this dance in the first place—an electric night filled with artistry, courage, and connection. We’re deeply grateful to everyone who made it possible from the dancers who poured their hearts out on the floor to the audience whose energy lifted the room higher, and everyone else in between.
For us at Opia, this was more than just a battle; it was a homecoming. We’ve missed the waacking community dearly, and hosting this was our way of giving back to this community and dance that brought us together 11 years ago. From the bottom of our hearts, THANK YOU! ❤️
And now… let’s just say the inspiration is flowing, and there may be more magic on the horizon. Stay tuned. ✨

OPIA☄️
We can't talk about waacking in Montreal without mentioning these amazing dancers. Back in the mid 2010s they were IT. Technically strong (that sharpness🪓and that speed💨), incredibly creative and musical like a live orchestra! Do you know them? They still pop up every now and then at events and battles (to kick our asses). Cheers to more dances with them 🥂
