Proper dragged my feet getting this one up and out there in the public sphere, but my feet are heavy, and ya know what they say about heavy feet right? Yes, thats right, they don’t say anything about heavy feet, thats totally not a thing. Its actually ‘big’ feet that people say things about, and my feet are quite small (but don’t let that turn all you rude gyals off) Anyhoo, how about you stop dwelling on that and get back to the task at hand….
This is a re-record of the set I was supposed to play at Hum festival back in May. Was a bit different on the night as I came on after some jackin' 4/4 house that the D-floor was frothing, so decided to transition with some jackin' funky techno into the breaks stuff. Gotta read the vibe sometimes, but I think the Richies wanted me to wind things down for the morning, so after a few stern looks, I slipped things into the druggy breaks vibes pretty sharpish and before I copped another eye slappin’ from the boiz!
Bit different for me this one, pretty eclectic and tripped out, exploring a range of styles that sit around the 130 to 140 continuum. Ya know, all that dreary, boring, not liquid drum & bass stuff (YAWN). Feel free to completely ignore the below link, thats what i would advise…

Super dragged my feet on this wan! Re-recording of my set at this years Earth Frequency Festival. Had an off the chain good time at it this year. First time I have played UKG at a festival and had a total blast! back-spins ahoy!!
Even got on the mic for the first time in over 2 decades, and absolutely loved it! I wasn't gonna do that for the re-recording though, that would have been mid AF!!
Big weekend of bass-music coming up, and in particular looking forward to winding out the weekend with Monty at Prohibition. This absolute Don of european dnb will be firing out the shella's longside heaps of my fave locals and myself Operon of course...

Monty on the ones and twos for a huge dnb throwdown later this month. The mighty HEX soundsystem, long-side nuff local ruffidge, will be pounding the decibels in all y'all grills!

Performing as @operondnb and @mcshureshock on the Atrium stage with the @wild_lotus_project dancers, at this years @earth_frequency Festival was such a fantastic experience! Its so dope to be able to relive it a little bit, thanks to Roan at @natur_media and his fantastic video skillz...

Yo friends! Got some pretty big news to share in regards to whats been happening in Operon town in recent times
For those of you that don’t know, I have taken a short break from writing tunes for the last 6 months, and have been tinkering away with MC Shureshock, building and developing our Operon & MC Shureshock 'LIVE' show!
It’s been a long process of designing and mapping out the technology side of the show, which features a combination of software and controller performance of all original Operon music, as well as a dub-reggae inspired hardware set-up for live mixing with rack-mounted FX. The next phase was for Cam and myself to do a couple of run throughs with the set-up, to identify and solve technical problems. The issues that arose have since been addressed, all thats left to do now is rehearse a couple more times and we are good to go; It really is all very exciting!!
I have to give a huge show of appreciation to Cam Shureshock for his eagerness to be involved with this project; It really wouldn’t be the same without him and his vocal talents, and I am beyond excited to share the stage with him again. Kudos to you brother!
So, this leads me to the really exciting news, which is letting you all know about our DEBUT LIVE PERFORMANCE of the project happening at ‘Diffuszed Studios’, on the 28th of this month for the Kinphonics event…

Its going to be a cool, intimate event, focussing on local bass-music producers and musicians, rather than just Dj’s. It’s a great concept; one that gives all the performing artists a chance to showcase to the punters their hard-work in the studio. Big thanks to Matt Parker for getting us involved, we feel honoured to be part of Kinphonics debut event, and cant wait to show you guys what we have been working on for the last 6 months
Anyway, apologies for the long post! Hopefully I get to see a whole bunch of you on the dance-floor for the debut show later this month
Chris Munky & Myself reachin' out with the remix bizniz yet again. Just dropped our junglistic take on Melbourne electro-house heavy-weight 'Friendless' track 'DRIP'
Featuring the vocal/rap talents of Sydney based artist Jannah Beth; her edgy, lyrical wizardry really makes this remix pop!
