Jerome Knox will appear at A Chorus for Emma at Greyfriars Kirk, Edinburgh, on Sunday, 27th April.
A graduate of the Alexander Gibson Opera School at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland, where he was the inaugural Gleneagles Scholar, Jerome also studied at the Royal College of Music and the University of Edinburgh.
In 2020, he won the prestigious London Handel Singing Competition, and has since performed with companies including @englishtouringopera and @scottishopera , where he was featured in their Opera Highlights tour.
Jerome’s concert highlights include solo performances at Wigmore Hall, the Royal Albert Hall, and the Händel-Festspiele in Halle.
Join Jerome and a stellar lineup of artists as we celebrate Emma’s legacy through music — featuring works by Bizet, Saint-Saëns, Mozart, and a new piece by @lliam.composer.piano The Chamber Choir of @georgewatsonscollege also feature in this twilight concert.

Last week was a real thrill singing the role of Nardo in La Finta Giardiniera by Mozart with @ianpageconductor and @themozartists alongside a wonderful group of singers and instrumentalists at the Cadogan Hall in London. Really special to be able to explore the role over a few weeks of rehearsals. The opera by a young Mozart is full of humour, beauty, confusion, madness and forgiveness. We’re honored to announce three more outstanding performers joining the London concert on February 8th:
🎵 Piran Legg (Baritone) @piranlegg – A GSMD alum who often sang alongside Emma at livery dinners. At the concert, Piran and Sam Smith will perform a duet that was a favorite at those dinners, with Piran singing the line Emma used to sing—a truly heartfelt tribute.
🎵 Alison Langer (Soprano) @alilangersoprano – Alison studied with Emma on the opera course at @guildhallvocal for two years, and they both went on to perform at @glyndebourne .
🎵 Jerome Knox (Baritone) @operatunityknox – Jerome, a colleague of Emma’s from Glyndebourne, will also be performing at the Edinburgh concert on April 27th at Greyfriars Kirk.

It’s a Bach and Handel kind of New Year in Edinburgh. First up, it’s Bach Christmas Oratorio parts 4/5/6 at St Giles Cathedral with @hallelujahramen@joseph_doody_tenor@judymezzo to say goodbye to 2024 in style for Hogmanay. Also I’ve been very lucky to perform at this concert since 2009 conducted the great Michael Harris who will be retiring after the Bach. Some wonderful music making experiences with his Choir of St Giles and St Giles Camerata.
Then 2025 begins at The Usher Hall where I get to perform Handel’s Messiah with my brilliant wife @wee_mitchey and wonderful @sjenkins1992 and @mrs.afonwy with @ercuchoir and the legend @michaelbawtree in the 137th annual performance by the ERCU in the Usher Hall! New Year with fireworks
