Shocked this morning to hear of the sudden passing of Doug Alford. It feels strange to post about this here, because he was not a fan of this platform. Doug was a brilliant, and funny person- always the life of the party. Doug and I were just messaging the other day about a possible reunion of our rock band from high school. I'll always remember him as a charismatic front man (pictured here) and a wonderful friend. Thinking of Doug's family - Gerald Alford, Betty, Mark, and Christie.
Fantastic performance by Angela Meade last night as Amelia in Ballo! Had a lovely chat today over coffee with her and husband John (pic after he had to run back to Nixon in China rehearsal). Spent the rest of the afternoon wandering around Montmartre. Home tomorrow!
