MODERNIST MAKEOVER New Bahru School Hall has been gently restored and reimagined as a vibrant community pickleball and event space. Original features including ventilation blocks, brise soleil, deep stained teak panelling and ecru mosaic flooring have been carefully revived, while later additions were removed to restore openness and clarity. Traces of time remain, honouring its past as it welcomes new forms of gathering. Our approach is a thoughtful balance of preservation and adaptation that keeps its modernist spirit alive. Ally Maxwell • Commercial Interior Access to ALLY MAXWELL begins with intention, and commences through a narrow, discreet entry with minimal street presence. This challenge was reimagined as an opportunity to create an immersive arrival experience. Visitors enter through a quiet, draped portal and ascend a serene stairwell that acts as a sensory reset before arriving in a dramatic double-volume lobby. The lobby is the heart of the club, flooded with daylight and softly illuminated by a grid of backlit ceiling panels. A gentle introduction to the wellness experience. Ally Maxwell • Commercial Interior Our design for ALLY Maxwell transforms 6,500 sqft of a utilitarian state-owned building into a vibrant, design-led wellness destination. The program includes member-only spaces such as spin and pilates studios, recovery zones with sauna and cold plunge, as well as a café bar and hotdesking area open to the public. All spaces are unified by a bold, expressive visual language tailored specifically for ALLY — designed to feel both immersive and inclusive.
