April is Sexual Assault Awareness Month. At Open Paths we center techniques supporting survivors in addressing and releasing trauma. The Los Angeles County Department of Public Health and the Leadership Council for Domestic Violence & Health Care brings together policy experts, community leaders, and care workers to build strategic partnerships across different organizations to best serve the needs of survivors. Yvonne Monteverde, program manager for Open Paths’ Domestic Violence Survivor Empowerment Support Group, was honored to attend.
