As fall approaches what could be nicer than sitting out in a beautiful screen porch enjoying the breeze with a crackling fire. These two recently completed projects in the Boston area utilized @lepage_millwork storm/screen combo panels and doors. They are 1-3/4" thick, come in all wood or clad/wood and can be customized with mid-rails and panels to meet your design. They offer both screen and glass inserts so the porch can be enjoyed throughout the year.

@natickfarm , an award-winning nonprofit, certified-organic farm providing productive open space, farm products, and hands-on education for all ages, year-round since 1975 lost it's treasured barn to a fire in March of 2021. We are thrilled to have been part of the building of the new barn, supplying new @lepage_millwork mahogany windows that keep the historic character of the original barn.

This new ice cream store in Marshfield Hills is in a national historic district and definitely looks the part. @campbellsmitharchitects collaborated with @colcloughconstruction to create this beautiful new ice cream store. We provided historically accurate @lepage_millwork wood windows that work with the design and will function as the serving window. Can’t wait to try the offerings!

Thank you to everyone that has supported the "4 Angels Memorial" I can't thank you enough. I hope this memorial has been viewed as a positive and uplifting symbol for the town of Duxbury and to all of you that have stopped by. Let us all remember the lives of Cora Clancy, Dawson Clancy, Callan Clancy and Laney Ladd and the light they provided for their families and everyone they knew.
The memorial's last night will be next Friday 3/31. I will be leaving the lights on until sunrise.
January 24th was a dark day for the town of Duxbury, MA. Three children, Cora Clancy, Dawson Clancy and Callan Clancy were killed by their mother. This came on the heals of another tragedy in December with the sudden passing of Laney Ladd. I designed a temporary memorial consisting of four searchlights that will be pointed into the sky, a symbol of their eternal light. The memorial will run the month of March on the lawn at Holy Family Church in Duxbury, MA. The memorial was approved by the town Select Board on 2/13. Both families have also given their approval. Perched above a meandering river in a nature lovers paradise outside of Boston sits this recently completed project. The project consisted of a full renovation and addition to a mid 90's contemporary home. The owners enlisted @murdoughdesign architects and @cradockbuilders to realize their dream. The oversized @lepage_millwork windows and lift and slide doors we supplied capture the magnificent views of the surroundings and open the home to the large deck and giant screen porch.
The old saying “the devil is in the details” can not be more true than on a construction job site. With hundreds of trades people working in the same area for months on end it never fails that somebody screws up someone’s else’s work by accident. I was very impressed to see this simple proactive detail of boarding up all the secondary doors on the project to keep them from getting damaged during construction. Air hoses going out under the door sweeps causing damage are a common occurrence on jobsites. Hats off to @meagherinc for this simple detail that I wish would see more often.
The architectural community lost a true master of his craft a little over a week ago. Peter Smith passed away suddenly. He was the principal of @campbellsmitharchitects for 40 years! I had the pleasure of knowing Peter for the last twenty years and he will be missed. His beautiful homes will live on for years to come with families calling them their home. What better way to be remembered.
Progress continues on this new waterfront home on the South Coast of Massachusetts. The @lepage_millwork window and door installation is wrapping up. The window and door products are clad sashes in wood frames with factory applied casing with a custom backband. The benefits to this product:

This custom factory stained @lepage_millwork mahogany entry system is a grand entrance for this new Cape Cod home. Designed by @nicholaeffarchitects and built by @soderholm_builders . The door features narrow stiles and rails to maximize the glass area.
