Thursday June 5th, Aura welcomes Open Courts to Portland for their first show in their new home on the best sound system in the city. West coast dance music legends Ana Sia and Hej Fund will run the dance floor through a wide spectrum of dance music to get your body moving.
Slurgeon will be warming things up and Sol Elicio will be closing it down. Expect to hear a little bit of everything.
$12 presales are available on RA. $15 at the door. $8 tickets (presale or door) available for LGBQ & BIPOC attendees. Trans community members get in free.
As always, practice consent, keep each other safe, and try to be present in the dance. Any creepiness or bigotry will result in immediate expulsion.
THURSDAY JUNE 5th: Aura returns to Process for another night of eclectic club sounds.
Open Courts is the collaborative project of Ana Sia and Hej Fund. Hailing from Los Angeles, the duo create original productions in the mold of vintage techno, house and electro. With their ongoing radio show / mix series, Open Courts FM, they shine the spotlight on a wider variety of the continuum, expanding into jungle, footwork, gqom and beyond. Their live sets are reflective of all of these realms, with inspiration taken from classic records as well as unreleased trax from many of their contemporaries. Swift hands on deck, and with their minds towards the dancers, these two are certain to channel movement into any room they’ve been handed the keys to.
Bookending the night will be Aura residents Slurgeon and Sol Elicio. Expect to hear a wide range of tempos, featuring styles of the times and the timeless.
Standard rave conduct rules apply. Practice consent, look out for each other’s safety, and do your best to be present on the dance floor. No bigots, no creeps.
