Broken Conventions Magazine
A school project where we were to design 80 pages for a magazine of any chosen subject. I wanted to delve deeper into the works of artists, filmmakers and musicians who crossed the border of the conventions in their respective art forms, often times being artists that worked with the darker aspects in art. I wanted the publication to feel deeply respectful to the rules of typography, yet challenge these at the same time using bold handwritten titles, using ink on paper. I wanted to create vibration and contrast between the timeless and classic with the gritty and bold.
I don’t own any of the text or photos within the publication, it’s merely for personal use.
