Through infinite shades of black and white, Sumio Inoue transformed photography into pure poetry. Printed on handmade washi paper crafted according to ancient traditions, his images revealed a silent world of light, shadow, and profound emotion. His works suspended time and space, touching the deepest part of the soul.

Drawing his subjects from memory, American artist Wayne Stoner initiates an intuitive creative process, refined by adding and subtracting elements from his paintings. These composite works, rich in texture, symbolism, and lived experience, all arrive at a final form, which becomes a conclusion once interpreted by its viewer.

Could wood be weightless? Australian artist Jeannette Rein pushes the material to its physical limits, through precision carving, balance and translucency. She uses light, shadow and ultra thin surfaces to create a structural tension portraying the delicate complexity of natural energy systems. She will be exhibiting three wooden sculptures hand crafted out of elm, cedar and King Park’s Bottlebrush trees.

Trond Are Berge will participate in OpenArtCode Florence with two one shot photos, quite rare for Trond Are as creator of Projectography, as he calls it.
