Staff Spotlight: Opal Peachey - Storytelling, Strategy, & Ballroom Magic 🪄 If you’ve noticed Reverie’s growing online presence since the ballroom’s transition, chances are you’ve already experienced the work of Marketing Manager Opal Peachey. Equal parts artist and strategist, Opal brings over a decade of experience in social media marketing, advertising, and audience building (and a deep love for Seattle arts communities) to everything she does. An award-winning playwright and composer, Opal has helped build passionate followings for organizations including EnJoy Productions, House of Daggers Designs, and Nebula Seattle. She also helped cultivate the cult following of Café Nordo and continues creating sold-out theatrical experiences with Marxiano Productions at The Triple Door 🎭 At Reverie, Opal leads social media, advertising, and digital outreach efforts focused on celebrating Seattle’s vibrant dance culture while helping new dancers discover the ballroom for the very first time. Her work blends artistry and analytics, finding thoughtful ways to connect old friends, new faces, and the many communities that call Reverie home. Outside of marketing, Opal is also a proud mother. Disappointments have silver linings. Reverie Ballroom it has been a year leading your Marketing efforts (with the amazing @lila.makes.things.happen ) and what a ride. Many of you have so many stories about the Ballroom. Eliza brought me on because she believed in my creative work and vision, and loved my ideas and writing and boot strap work ethic. It was so hard when she stepped down (for good reasons, if you are curious, check out the @reverie_ballroom blog). I did a teaser announcement in February about a monthly cabaret I would produce for Reverie. That did not materialize. Eating humble pie with the artists I had enlisted was rough, but I’m happy to say, with Hallie back in the CEO chair, there is a future for my unique brand of entertainment in that gorgeous grand ballroom. We are seeking visual artists to help shape the dream world inside our 22,000 square foot immersive facility in Pioneer Square. Nebula will be part art exhibit, part interactive museum, part performance space, and part unfolding mystery. In our story world, the boundaries between waking life and dreams have begun to unravel and it’s up to our audience to restore the balance. Oh, Reverie Ballroom, so many dreams. So many secrets to be told. As a working artist mom being gone performing 5 nights a week can only happen a few times a year. But a monthly cabaret? My Chef husband is hard at work today, with not one but two Valentine’s cooking classes, plus a full day cooking the line at @littlejayesouth “Food is Love” is one the missions behind his cooking classes and his passion is what brought us together, 7 years ago at Café Nordo. We are tired, hardworking parents and we don’t get many moments out of the week for just the two of us. But when Christian and I decided to make the big move and launch @tele.chef we knew our moments would come with a shared dream. Love through food, and eventually a schedule that would support our growing son and give more freedom than the traditional life of a Chef. These are a few little moments I caught that hopefully show the big heart in this guy 💕 #cheflife
