To help us see out the summer solstice we’ve enlisted the help of @bash.man___ @softriot @marquis_de_lad & @ron.yonder . Which is as always, entirely free entry. Runs from 9pm til 3am. 🌞 Then exactly 12 hours later - at 3pm on Sunday, we are delighted to see the return of Please Be Sunny. ✨🏃‍♀️‍➡️🕸️THE VORTEX🌀🏃‍♂️✨ Last month’s event, Sweet Dreams turned into a sour nightmare when our plans were thwarted by a burst pipe underneath Sauchiehall Street, rendering us incapable to party. Fortunately, it is completely impossible to destroy Opal Nights and the mere suggestion of this is laughable. As a result we’re back with a last minute extra date next Saturday. @ron.yonder will be at the helm all night long for this months expedition into the vortex, which aims to be pretty good and have zero plumbing issues. A six hour set from 9 til 3 traversing various musical & energetic terrain. Beginning relaxed with some certified dinner music & wistful softies before making the gradual, amorphous, sonic pilgrimage into clubbier territory, exploring balearic, italo, newbeat, synth, wave, house, electro, acid, oddball & beyond etc. etc. etc. etc. etc. SAT 17th MAY BLOC+ 9-3 Freeeeeeeeee See you there!

Then we’ve got live performances from two dreamy acts that we are very excited about: Tues. & Louary. We’ve seen both acts perform live in recent months and they were absolutely incredible - not one to miss!! The opal nights DJs, Ron Yonder & Zoazoa will be manning the decks in between live acts and then cranking the heat up til 3. Expect any and all possible combinations within the realm of dance music traversing new-beat, balearic house, gems from the italosphere, oddities, synth, wave, ebm, acid… trance ?
