Another of the many typefaces lying around in the drawer. Typeface inspired iconic SwissAir identity from 50’s by Rudolf Bircher. Hamsa ✌️🫠 #swissair #rudolfbircher #typefacedesign #fontdesign #outsideofmatter

A font for life. I’ve always loved typography and drawing letters. But when I made the very first sketch of the Marc typeface more than four years ago, I honestly had no idea what kind of adventure I was starting. Now I’m at a point where I notice tiny little flaws in the letters-things I keep tweaking bit by bit. The typeface has kind of grown up with me; at the beginning it was pretty wild, and now it’s turned into a more classic grotesk with slightly wider shapes. I used it for my two-year bachelor’s project from Japan, Planeta T., and all the text in the publication is set in this typeface. And I’d also like to say thank you for the lovely afterword by Czech Japanologist @petrholy . I think he captured the atmosphere perfectly. I hopefully one day the typeface will finally be “finished”! First sketch in 2021… and still going. #typeface #letters #glyphs #graphicdesign #print

Figma as a graphic editor The assignment was to work with three mirrored objects and use them as the main motif in the visual identity of an exhibition featuring three artists — all coincidentally named Jan. Since I’m not a 3D designer, I spent some time wondering how to approach this challenge, until I realized that the recent new beta version of Figma can imitate a “liquid glass” effect. It took a bit of experimenting to understand how it works, but once I got the hang of it, the results were definitely worth it. It turned out to be exactly what I needed: the soft blurring and subtle chromatic aberrations beneath the rounded shapes created the perfect optical effect. By adding curved lines, laser-like elements, and repeating typography, I managed to reflect the atmosphere of the exhibition itself, which was centered around light and cold materials. I created both light and dark versions of the design, though only the dark one was ultimately used. The exhibition was on view at @thechemistrygallery in September 2025. Graphic concept for a classical music concert by the Prague Chamber Soloists. The primary typography combines a customized version of the Gauranga font from the @oom_type type foundry with partially bespoke letterforms evoking the era of Johann Sebastian Bach. Designed in April 2025.
