WELCOME TO THE GRIZZLY SLAM!
Olive is a poet who first started performing when she joined UOB's UniSlam 2025 team. She was awarded as an individual at the UniSlam grand final. Since then has performed at many Birmingham poetry nights including a headline show at Overcoat and placing second at Run Your Mouth.
The slam is back for another pear-iffic year! Alongside the slam we will have four open mic slots at three minutes each, so make sure to sign up on the door for a chance to read!
Also taking place during the spooktastic evening is a costume competition. Wear your best halloween outfits for a chance to win the prize for the best dressed pear! Grizztopher is a tough judge, so bring your A-game!
The evening takes place at Circo, doors at 7:30 for an 8pm start! Entry is £5 for non-students and £3 for students. We're cash only (annoying, we know) but we'll have change and there's a cash machine nearby.

Here’s your first headliner for next Monday the 2nd of June - OLIVE!
Olive started writing as a notes-app poet when she was 11. Last year she decided to leave the notes-app with her first open mic performance at Overcoat in October.
Since then she has been on the UniSlam 2025 team for University of Birmingham and performed at various spoken-word nights. She placed second at the last Run Your Mouth.
Olive writes about everything in the world around her, from grief to vaping!
