I’d love to make your next project, so email me here: [email protected] Let’s make something immaculate! For over 7 years, I have partnered with a broad spectrum of clients to produce compelling, narrative-driven visual content that fosters meaningful connections between businesses, institutions, programs, and independent entrepreneurs and the communities they serve. I intentionally use the term ā€œcommunityā€ rather than ā€œaudienceā€ or ā€œcustomersā€ because my methodology prioritizes identifying and cultivating resonance between my clients’ missions and the individuals who benefit from their services or products. In essence, it’s a story-forward approach. I have served in various roles including producer, director, cinematographer, and editor for narrative commercials and documentary projects across multiple continents. My focus is always on creating engaging, cinematic, and humanistic audiovisual work that precisely meets the strategic needs of my clients.Ā  Whether it is a documentary short or a social media campaign, I make it a point of duty to bring my heart, all of my humanity and a great deal of humility to serve my clients vision, while providing support and direction in engineering opportunities to emphasize clients’ products and services within a story framework.. I am currently in pre-production for a documentary about food, nostalgia and the Nigerian diaspora, while also in post-production for a 5-part documentary series on Youth & Government in Africa, which was shot in South Africa, Lesotho, Namibia, Ethiopia. Traveling for work is probably what I enjoy most because it enables me to pick up new languages & make friends in far off places. If you’re looking for a seasoned storyteller with a knack for the theatrical who can direct actors and non-actors, light & shoot people of all ethnicities and backgrounds, while bringing a clinical yet visceral approach to editing, I would be an ideal fit for your project. Let’s connect: [email protected]

In 2013, I was watching MTN Project Fame with my mother when I first saw @johnnydrille . I was entranced by his presence, his choice of music and singing approach. I didn’t hear of him again until I was obsessed with Hello by Adele and found his cover and realized it was the same guy from Project Fame. Then I heard his cover of Awww by Di’ja. I remember thinking ā€œI didn’t know you could do that. I didn’t know you’re allowed to change a song that much and make it your own.ā€ I was amazed. Inspired. Curious. I remember how I jumped around my apartment in college when he and @ladipoe got signed to Mavin. I celebrated like sey na my own brothers dem sign. I watched every Johnny’s Room Live from every apartment I lived in and every couch I slept on, damn near crying during the proposals. When I worked at @mavinrecords as an A&R, I yearned to just see him work. That was all. Too shy to make that happen, and scared of being a try-hard, I never asked or tried to orchestrate that. The rest of this story would take a longer essay or video or something but just…I learned he had heard my music. On one of my funniest, weirdest days in Lagos, I learned he was interested in working with me as a writer. This happened 3 years ago so I don’t remember all the details of that moment when I was told. I think my spirit left my body for a second. No—I know it did. Johnny made me feel encouraged, empowered, respected, trusted and seen during those hours in his studio. I didn’t fangirl because I wanted to focus and do good work, but every moment felt surreal. There are NO words. NONE. Some songs never leave artiste’s hard-drives—especially when operating on this level. I will forever cherish the shot I got to work with one of my favorite musicians in the entire Milky Way Galaxy. And to @aqyila whose project ā€˜Falling Into Place’ is one of my favorite albums of all time, you floated and swayed all over this song. It is surreal to see worlds merge in the way they have. As I said before, I hope more musicians find your music. ā€˜Before The Morning Lightā€ IS OUT NOW. āœšŸ¾ Track 5 — ā€œChokeholdā€ The last slide is my note from the day.

I’ve been listening to old songs and finding new truths And I’ve been sorting through old logs and writing new rules The slow reveals the fast There’s going without gas I’ve known ā€œThis too shall passā€ And it did—ever so slowly ā€œecho//locoā€ is track 4 on the 9-minute EP I put out in 2023, when I first fled the US for my sanity. there’s many grave stories behind this one, but I’m happy to creating new joyous memories since returning to it. there’s new music on the way. ā³ #independentartist #poetry #message #explorepageًًً #musician

road rage// if i am, then I’m slayed it’s beautiful putting music out and being able to come back to it with gratitude for what it got you through. ā€œroad rageā€ is on the ā€œThe Road To Damascusā€ EP, and it’s out everywhere. I’m hoping we’re all taking it easy on ourselves and taking care of one another as we drive along the highways of this thing we call life. #independentartist #poetry #message #fyp

my music is available on all streaming platforms. i’d say check out ā€œThe Road To Damascus.ā€ it’s the best introduction to my music // but yeah, this was very vulnerable to share, since i don’t want the wrong people to get the wrong idea or scoff at me — ā€œpesin wey get talent and skills wey dey complain.ā€ i’m grateful for how my film education and practice has improved my storytelling (especially my visuals), and you can only imagine what my music videos would look like with the right budget, but it STILL sucks sometimes to be exhausted from the grueling nature of film (and editing…brah) to then open Logic Pro X. it wasn’t always an easy answer though, but i think with age I’ve come to see that I didn’t say music as easily because I didn’t want to be judged or upset folks invested in my filmmaking journey. let’s see what plays in the next year. i’m excited for the possibilities now I don’t have immigration status inhibitions. hope some of that made sense. i’m exhausted. #explorepage #filmmaking #losangeles #abuja #musician
