Today I ran my very first half marathon in the gorgeous Temecula Wine Valley. The longest race I had ever done prior to this was a 5k. The course was harder than I had anticipated. Tons of hills and one huge, sharp hill at the very end to test my resolve. But such amazing views! I will never forget the beauty. So worth it. Every second. The best part of this race was having my brother Nick, Iris, and Manuel be with me at the finish line. ❤️❤️❤️These 3 humans mean the world to me. ❤️What a September it has been ❤️We had the honor of attending the Imagine This Women’s Festival in New York and the Cordillera International Film Festival in Nevada, where we took home the award for Best Narrative Feature at both events! Huge congratulations to our amazing lead, Karen David, for her nomination for Best Performance in a Feature at Cordillera! The support and love from audiences and filmmakers has been so moving.
We have three more opportunities to see Isabel’s Garden. In October, catch us at the 33rd Heartland International Film Festival @heartlandfilm in Indiana and the 25th Newport Beach Film Festival @newportbeachfilmfest in California. We’ll wrap up in November at the 43rd Three Rivers Film Festival in Pittsburgh, PA!
