Juan Mare is a DJ and producer based in Edinburgh, recognised for his work in music and sound system culture. He is the creator of PortaVibe HiFi, a battery-powered sound system that has recently been expanded. With PortaVibe HiFi he has provided sound and music at various venues and festivals across Scotland for several years.
In addition to his work with PortaVibe HiFi, Juan Mare has produced his own music, including a visual E.P. and a remix of The Lord of the Rings soundtrack. This remix, made in collaboration with award-winning cellist Ryan Williams, has attracted over 60,000 views on YouTube
